Very nice. I can't skin it, but I am putting my backing behind this. I really encourage any skinners here to give this a shot. It's deffinitely a worthwhile project!

Go to <a href='http://www.google.com' target='_blank'>Google</a> and search for the title of the program you're using and the word "tutorial".

That -X- tutorials on the GhostOps site were sweet, but there is this horrible "Style is not an object or color" error on line 74 of the java script(what the hell does that particular page use java for anyway?) where it links to the actual tutorials. Anyone know how to turn off the automatic debugging? I haven't tried to turn it off yet, but I held down the 'N' key for a full minute <!--emo&--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/mad.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='mad.gif'><!--endemo--> at one point while it was asking if i wanted to debug. Maybe its a warning that I shouldn't laze around in my AP Computer Science class?

in your sig it says "Kusanagi-sama is awaiting you" i was just asking if you put the i in awaiting because it doesnt seem like it as it might be a typo, and it doesnt seem bright its seem just fine.
  • NeptalidNeptalid Join Date: 2003-01-06 Member: 11951Members
You're right, there is no 'i' in the awaiting part.

Change your skin man. The coloring in your skin is something I would expect from bad colorizing in old doom2 levels. Very hard on the eyes if you have a half-decent monitor

I think I'm done with this one ...

if any one has some suggestions, let em fly.

btw, it'd probably look better if you remodeled the mussle to have holes in it like the movie does. I just basically painted them black, probably look a bit odd in game ..

    /me shrug

hopfuly I can get the second done tomorrow, hell, maybe even tonight if my cold stops being a **** ..

good job silver it good so far some more small details be nice like more bolts and some dirt etc

the compileing is not going so good it will not compile it keeps telling me the BMP is not 8 bit 8 bit? no one uses texture of 8 bit there like no color at all then i thought maybe it the file name but the file name in only 4 characters so that was not it i work on it more tomorrow after school after i get it to compile i will start re-key framing the animation so it really looks like he is holding it right and his hand does not go in to the clip and things well keep it up guys later

I need a 3DS viewer. All the ones on download.com and hotfiles.com are horrible.
  • Wolf_KahlerWolf_Kahler Join Date: 2002-11-29 Member: 10252Members
Actually, HL uses 8-bit textures. In other words, 256 colours. Thankfully, that's only for each texture. In a map or model, you can have multiple textures with widely varried palettes for each. You'll want to index your example images in 8-bit BMP's before trying to compile in to an MDL.
