Hello Rines & Porges.
Quite some time ago last year (2013) I worked on an experimental version of Veil for research on balance and psychological behaviour.
I decided to publish this 5 Tech-point version of Veil to the general public rather than let it rot on my hard drive.

I have no idea if another "Veil" would be desired by our small community, that could be interesting for competitive players perhaps but is it truly legit to use this layout and not the current one, I mean, people like to play and fight on Veil simply because this is Veil, not to play on a different map. I like the idea for sure, get both different maps in the same "universe" but with new changes to make another gameplay & various strategies.

I'm really curious to see what gonna happen with this map & everything that could be done to improve it, playing Veil5 must be so refreshing & astonishing, especially for 6 vs. 6 & scrims.
I don't have a problem with giving people more maps to play, so more power to it I guess.

which folder contains ns2 steam workshop files? cant find the custom maps in the regular map folder
It'll be in your app data folder... can't remember offhand if it's local or roaming, but shouldn't be too hard to find. The names of mods aren't human-readable though... so good luck with your searching!

use the 'search' field and type in the keyword you're looking for
Map will automatically appear when I figure out why the builder is publishing an empty ZIP file to steam!
It's not a dead end, the overview refuses to render the rest of the vent.
Did you group it under "CommanderInvisible", or "CommanderInvisibleVents"? If the former, it won't show up on overview. If the latter... huh... Is the vent all props? I don't think props show up on the minimap.
btw, if you really have some time to spare, could you revamp eclipse, in it's state as it is right now it is absolutely horrible. It really needs another techpoint, Maybe some kind of extension at the horseshoe.

If nanogrid is considered, I would recommend placing the power node to a more vulnurable position, as it's to guarded at the moment, which should make it harder for marines to beacon back to the place.

About Tanith, exactly the same. As far as I remember with the last NSL Custom Map Cup, nobody really gave feedbacks to the mapper except a few players, I don't know since how many time this map is forsaken but it seems to be fallen into oblivion for now. Maybe I'm wrong but ns2_mineral (made by Master G) is definitely for me in the same kind of idea so far. Layout & positions of the Tech points look very similar, still in beta version though.
- Fixed missing section of vent on mini-map.
- Added a some small SFX in places.
- Given pipeline a Flooded Look
YOU RUINED IT!!!
