When spawning my egg seemed to be colliding with something else on the map. It made a vibrating noise that you can kinda hear in the video still. When I spawned and the egg broke, I think that's what caused the geyser. Freakin' weird.

I guess I found out old news then
Post NS2 patch, yes. NS2+ recieved an update which will have been automatically downloaded when you joined a server running it.

I admit it could be a freaking good feature for the game, that a visual effect.
