Questions & Suggestions

Hey wonderful Subnauts (yeah I just call us like that)

First of all great game so props to the devs :D

So yeah I played quite a while now but still got some questions maybe the community can help me out here.

Questions
So I got so far that I could build a Cyclops but as far as I know you can only go to 100 m depth right else you will get leaks ?

1. Is there something that upgrades the Cyclops possible Depth ?
I am aware it is still in dev so I know maybe this isn't yet implemented.

I would like to say something in between about me and the Cyclops.
First of all I just watched like 3 videos of Subnautica Let's Plays to not spoiler me too much I just watched the basics and yeah it was awesome :D
Then I found out about this Cyclops I just knew it was a bigger submarine. Well then I thought man that thing is huge it would be awesome if you could board it (I knew nothing about it back then)
But I never expected that this was already the case and I was like a child getting candy. And then finding the dock station for the Seamoth *gasp*

Well anyways let's continue :D

There are for sure some of you that really got into detail with the game so here some questions I have for you guys.
(before I look each thing up in a wiki I would like to interact with the community that is kinda my preference and I did this already for years to interact with others)

2. Does the location of found limestone chunks change the chances of the materials you can get from it?
in other words : If I break a limestone in a deeper depth is there a higher chance to get i.e Gold or is it always the same.

3. Is there a way to delete items from the inventory instead of dropping them ?
( My current ugly and not environment friendly solution is making a hole with the terraformer put all crap in there and close it haha :D )

4. Is there a way to switch off beacons ?
Picking them up all the time would just fill my inventory or storage which isn't always nearby.

Suggestions

If these suggestions are common or already been posted then first of all sorry for the repeat haha :D

1. Adding a pull-back feature to the dive reel, so people can travel back faster.
Although this could also be added as a new tool leaving the dive reel unchanged and adding a tool which can be implemented to vehicles like a stationary tool OR to seabases

2. Vines currently only have a use for crafting but you could extend it by allowing the player to climb the vines up/down faster then regular swimming which would be a non-tech solution to the Air Bladder.

3. Room Corridors for Seabases like not only Pipes. So we can actually have a big space area in our bases yeeeeeah :D
This is maybe already planned but I would still suggest it just in case (looked at the SN crafting Gliffy Diagram and wasn't sure if that was meant)

4. Adding a harpoon or a kind of hooking device to actually drag objects with you.
Just imagine what you could do with such a thing, like dragging a gravsphere and go around ?

And again if these were already asked I am sorry for repeating ^^
I still got a lot of ideas but I stick with these now and re-think my other ones :)

Happy diving Subnauts :D

I would also like to know about the Cyclops in its pretty small depth, i would have thought for such a Amazing sub that it would be able to go maybe a 1000 meters before hell breaks out.. hope it changes and some kind of upgrades can be done to increase hull strength and capabilities to it. Also i have seen in a vid on youtube of the cube thing that "blows" you away i wonder if one can have something like that, which will be a next level bladder that you can use/hold to accelerate you much quicker to the top, would be great to see.

Question 1: Maybe there will be a hull reinforcement in the future, but for now the Cyclops can't be upgraded. However, you can already dive as deep as you want with it, as long as you don't hit anything. When you hit a rock at below 100m, you will get a hole in the hull and the Cyclops will flood and sink if you don't fix it with your welder.
Question 2: Limestone chunks are always the same regardless of depth, but in deeper areas you can find Sandstone chunks or Shale chunks, which contain mostly gold and silver instead of titanium and copper.
Question 3: Unfortunately not. Maybe it will come with the craft multiples/craft all feature, but until then I just build more and more lockers to hold all my junk ;) This is a great way to organize your stuff btw, one locker just for titanium, one for gold, one for quartz etc.
Question 4: No, you have to pick them up. But why would you ever want to turn off a beacon?

Well if you use multiple beacons you cannot clearly identify them from each other since you cannot name or color the beacon emit light sure the direction and the depth of your beacons can be remember but after like 6 active beacons that could be a problem.

There will be hull reinforcements in the future (one of the devs spoke to me personally).

Suggestion 1: This has already been suggested many times. Maybe they will add it, I don't know.
Suggestion 2: This doesn't make sense because swimming is definitely faster than climbing, especially with fins or a seaglide. And an airbladder isn't hard to make at all, so it's one of the first tools you acquire anyway.
Suggestion 3: Bigger rooms are already planned I think. Definitely looking forward to that!
Suggestion 4: Interesting thought, maybe you could craft it from a floater and some creepvines so you have a line with an adhesive floater at the end to drag objects around. This would be a nice low-tech solution to drag your Seamoth home if the power cell runs out too (happened to me several times). Of course it should slow you down a lot though.

You can place the current generator in any direction you want, just look in that direction and drop it from your inventory. This way you can put it at the seafloor pointing towards the surface so you can get a nice upward stream for quick ascent. Another use for it would be a fast travel route with current generators every 50 or 100 meters. That would be a bit expensive though.
