I was wondering if you guys had thought about doing something else with the sky. To make it feel more alien It almost feels like you could be on the earth. It would be cool to see a gas giant in the sky or a few moons some nebula or something to just make you really feel like your on another planet. Without diving down and seeing the life under the water. Let me say, the first time I played I was kinda scared to jump in the water. Didn't know what was down there. As it probably would be if you crashed on an alien ocean planet.
I was wondering if you guys are planning on putting other weather effects in the game?

- floater-ammo will stick to surfaces and enemies render them harmless and slowly float them to the surface (would be awesome to use on big predators)
- crash will explode and stun enemies AoE (they dont kill, maybe small fish)
- gasopod-granades will cloud the area hit and blind enemies caught in the AoE

my sketch of the "Blunderbuss" and "Gasopod-Grenade":
upgradeable HUD go from diver's slate to holographic projector on wrist gauntlet to HUD built into the mask complete with "scanners" for initial info concerning hazards ie: poison in water, radiation, something ate your leg....
different breeds of Crash-fish like a pufferfish except the spines shoot out and stick in you
Squidlike creatures that feed on electricity (follow the electric fish you just finished) that latch onto your constructions/vehicles and slowly drain power (remove with my next suggestion)
Tazer animal deterrant zap the buggers, they live you dont get eaten, good for stunning dinner too (made from electric fish drops)
also could come in poison too, from the poison pod cow manatee things
more to come
there is a stonehenge somewhere, dont know if it's a easter egg but i like the idea of having something SPECIAL to discover.
like something frozen in the ice of the ice-biome coming up anytime in the future or a giant skeleton of a dead seacreature! like a really really big one!!!
this is my sketch showing a dead Sea-Emperor-Alpha! The Idea ist that the Tusks are growing more large the older the Emperor becomes! And in case of this Alpha they grow to an enormous sice showing his great age!

Well played, Gentlemen. Well played.
Thanks DEVS!!!
why disagrees?
mac version mac version, hey look a mac version!!!
Yay
no ok
P.s. I hope there are some deep DEEP creatures added soon.
Yea they are aware of the fabricator 'losing' your discovered recipes upon save/load. They have been working a lot with saving/loading in general so hopefully it is something they will cure. It is frustrating for sure!
I can't wait for more diversity in general, and in particular actually studying/catching fauna!
Needs work, but I do like it. The Impact Hammer should be a separate tool, along with the Cutter Torch and Rotary Saw. The gasopod thing is confusing :P, I do however like the Hologram Projector idea and the Personal Scanner. But, there is one thing that could also be useful. A small set of copper wiring embedded in the gloves can stun fish with a small directed arc pulse.
So much this!
They actually are working on a gene splicer of sorts, so its very possible you can get your wish.
I'd really like to see a deep sea diver. Not huge, but enough size to be able to not get obliterated by the future creatures down there. it just would seem odd to me not to have one, considering the more late game materials/mobs are down below 200 meters, where only a player can swim through with limited oxygen.
For bases, I'd really enjoy a generator room so that my Power generator isn't sitting outside, on a weird angle, completely exposed. It just screams "you're doing it wrong" to me. Also, i think a main corridor/hub for your base would be excellent, rather than dividing everything up by hallway to hallway. And maybe a cosmetic anchor for the Cyclops?
