My 9 yr old son had a concept drawing to share :)

So Isaac, my son who LOVES Subnautica (as in, loves it so much we had a Subnautica Party with a Subnautica cake and made him a Subnautica T-shirt. Also he made a card game for it...) asked me to please share his drawing of a "Stalker Mother". This would be 3x larger than a standard one with one nest per kelp-forest area. Also, it would be able to damage the Seamoth by a small percentage per attack. Anyway, I thought it was too cool not to share. I did let him know that putting some concept into the actual game took many many hours by very talented folks, but he just wanted you to see his idea. Cheers! Bizsse1ttjxe5m8.jpg

Actually not a bad idea, but stalkers seem so.. they seem like loners to me, even their name says Stalker, if that means thats their hunting strategy it wouldnt make sense to team up and have nests and a community and stuff. This could be a bigger and rarer version in the underground caves or maybe the grand reef though. Tell your son he did a good job :P

Great stuff, BizQuick. Your son has quite the imagination. Thanks for sharing his concept image with us.

Except that some social predators also use stalking strategies, and even more effectively. Lionesses, wolves, etc.

Yeah, and they use that strategy together, stalkers obviously dont. Pls dont try to make this look like it would make sense :D

For loners, they sure all hang out together in the kelp forest areas. The idea is not them "teaming up", but having there be a chance of kelp forests spawning a larger stalker with chances of more teeth and wreckage. Anyway, just a fun idea from a nine year old.

I think it would be cool to have creatures that spawn randomly/rare creatures, and maybe have some special sort of item drop or purpose. The stalker mother could be one of those rare elusive creatures.

    Cool idea overall.
