Hey guys,
This wasn't from the update, its been happening on the last patch as well. I had no problems with the game before. I reformatted the C drive because of a few things so a fresh install of windows 7 64 bit which is now completely updated and I've reinstalled everything. Another thing that has changed is the GPU is in a different PCI Express slot. Originally it was on a PCI 2.0 with only 1x, which is why I was having such bad performance with such a good card in games (GTX 780 Ti). Moving it to the next slot which is 2.0 x16 has now allowed the card to work at full potential and no games run badly like they did, all Ultra at 1080p easily. Its only this game since the reformat and change of slot. Not sure whats up. I've tried clearing the NS2 folder in %appdata%, installed directx from the NS2 folder and verified game cache. Tried heaps of drivers, clean uninstall and then installing the new one. Tried quite a few, no results, and the problem doesn't seem to be a driver crash, as no error message pops up from the taskbar like it would. Considering redownloading if I have to. In the mean time, any ideas on what could be causing this?
*Can't have a crashing game when making videos now can I?
Cheers,

Without further details about your system we can't really analyze the situation. So make sure to provide a techsupport.zip .
Turn bloom off, its a known issue.
Could be a driver issue, but you have done a complete fresh install off everything? GPU drivers? Mobo Drviers? Display drivers? Steam? Ns2? the lot?
Everything besides NS2, and every time I install a different graphics driver is use DIsplay Driver Uninstaller to clean and uninstall the old one completely.
Welp, still getting crashes even with the older driver. Doesnt say driver crashed as usual. How long does the techsupport.exe take? Been archiving dump for a few mins now.
But i would suggest you unistall NS2, and redownload / reinstall it.
I would say follow this http://forums.unknownworlds.com/discussion/131428/obbys-full-nuke-ns2-guide-only-way-to-be-sure#latest
Ill try it with DX9 and see what happens
Welp, tried with dx9 and was working well, 1-2 small tiny freezes, then it froze and the computer slowed down to an unbearable rate. Couldnt even make a dump. Heres the tech dump from last crash on dx11 @MaxAmus @GhoulofGSG9

*Using that nuke guide to completely reinstall NS2, will let you know what happens.
That crash was directly caused by the nvidia driver. There have been quiet a few reports here in the forum of ppl having issues with the latest driver update. I would suggest to roll back the driver version and to contact nvidia.
I thought so, Ill try an even older driver now
Try to enter the windows recovery mode (spam f8 after boot) and then use this tool to remove the driver from your pc. After that reboot and reinstall a older driver.
Well, the problem was the 0xc000000e error was caused by an inaccessible drive, couldnt do anything and couldnt go into safe mode. I turned off and on for a while and it eventually started properly. I uninstalled the driver and am now on 350.12 so Ill see what this does.
Fastboot only works with windows 8 or higher Check your UEFI menu to make sure all windows 8+ options are disabled.
Yea, everything is.
Well, pretty sure its not a driver crash. I've rolled back to 7 or so drivers and all do something similar, although its now different with 350.12. Instead of crashing, it might freeze and stutter for a bit then return to normal, then proceed to do it again later on down the track, but then slows my computer down so much its like running NS2 on a system from the 2000's.
I uploaded this to show it, much easier to make a video then explain it, and it gives you visual examples.
Create a new admin account in Windows, transfer all your docs/pics etc to that new account then delete the old one, and use the new one.
Afraid it was short lived man. Started doing in on that account as well now
Also what anti virus software do you use? Do a full AV scan.
Ill run NS2 with task manager and the NS2 folder open so I can actually get to them relatively quickly, and see what happens if it freezes again. I've completely uninstalled steam and NS2 an redownloadded so ill see what happens now.
