    i think we should be able to leave to earth and tell about adventure and colinizethe planet or you can like this other comment encounter gaia to either turn your tech to fauna to stop them or either disagree adn have all fauna agenst u and try to stop the next ship from crashing with disagreeing she will turn all fauna agresive and youl wake up seing a reaper outside your base

    To me it seems that the game is already developing towards a rescue mission, if you start a new game, some of the tasks point you towards activating a long range beacon. I personally can get bored with simply swimming around, collecting resources and making big empty bases, so some thing more is definitely needed. But regarding rescue, I would hate to leave the game after spending 30-50 hours building, gathering and exploring.

    next time go read old post´s b4 u make one...this poll was already done ...and no no space no rescue...you will never get out of this planet, i think the admins already said something like this too...
    Be happy if they give you some communication devise to bring more ship´s whit tech and people do colonize and help you.

    While I agree there should be some over-arching end goal to finally achieve, building a mahusive intergalactic tachyon stream transmitter being the most popular.

    I don't believe the game should end or progress to space or anything like that after completion.

    Perhaps some end game mechanic, related to Terraforming the planet (like building Terra former modules, constructing biodomes and landing point or such, but don't at any point remove the progress the player has already made.

    I was thinking more like the shroud from Mass Effect, but yeah.

    The story does continue in space.... NS2 happens in the future in the same universe.

    It would be cind of cool, but I htink it would destroy the meaning and charm of the game... But I thought that if you went up in space (after rscue) you could explore other ocean planets in the same universe. You would be able to colonize the other plantes. All the planets in this solar system would be ocean planets, just with other creatures, landscapes, floras and stuff like that. (You would not be able to get out of the ocean solar system.) :)

    I think the storyline should end up with rescue being sent (or not sent if the company decides to just wipe you off the records to save money), but said rescue should never actually reach you in-game- it is said that it will take several years to build a new ship and you have to wait until then.
