Eclipse creatures

I was reading about how there will sometimes be eclipses and had a thought. What if there were a creature (Or type of creatures) that only cam out during eclipses. hey would either have some sort of really rare resource, or unbelievably dangerous. Dangerous like, they will shatter glass sections of bases to get at you. I'm just sort of rambling. Let me know what you guys think.

Night, should be more dangerous in any case... And spawning a creature(s) that can actually force you to a certain goal, defend the base in this case. Now that would make the game a lot more content rich, compared to what most survival games do in terms of "grind/farm" stuff for better stuff. Adding events to the mix, man that would be awesome!
--> workshop mod that stuff so we/"the magic programmer dudes" can create custom event mods added to the game. I mean a survival/crafting games can thrive on community content as well as official stuff. Look at Don't Starve/Terraria, tiny mods and larger ones that make the game even more longlasting!
But things like the Bloodmoon or an Eclipse and maybe a sort of organism that can infect other areas and take them over or zombify creatures (fungus), making even passive creatures aggressive. Having to find/synthesise a cure. Something you've done to set it free perhaps. You know, certain triggered events you have defend against in survival mode would make the game a lot more immersive as well.
Oh and maybe a seismic event, cracking up the seafloor. Spawning a large and scary whirlpool, opening up another area only reachable with the EXO to combat the extreme currents... Heck maybe even an underwater tank like vehicle that can cling to the floor/walls so it doesn't get swept away...
But why not extend this idea to other things as well. Getting certain resources or access to certain areas during certain times (certainly that's certainly going to be a certain certainty )

rantmode off, TLDR;
I agree, we need events!
Perhaps something like this? ;-)

That sounds even scarier, a conscience whirlpool. Maybe that is what slapped the Aurora from space, an extremely large water jet
The effect could be that certain creatures from the deep (sea dragons, etc.) start to invade the safe surface regions and attack the seabases. Or floaters rise from the deep that start to attach to and eat through metal. While the magnetic resonances of the planet (who took down the Aurora) start to shake the earth and damaging the bases. The compass starts to dance tango and planetwide EMPs will damage the subs circuitry.
