Plantable Coral

Since coral is used in a variety of different things like making bleach for water and computer chips, it would be great if it was plantable. Maybe a kind of growbed could be created specialized for growing coral.

We would def need different sorts of planter trays for them since most table corals seem to grow on rock. The coral tubes always seems to be in sandy areas.

Now plants are growing too fast, i'm assuming coral take a very very very long time to grow.

How about you can plant something like the living wall on the outside of your base to grow table coral and stuff

Ooh nice. But would it alter hull integrity in any way?

That's a good idea! I just made a quick sketch of your idea, I'll upload it later.

That's a good question. It depends, are we just sticking rocks on a normal wall or making the wall a rock?

I'd love something like that, whether inside or outside my base (I know coral wouldn't grow inside but I just think it'd look cool)

TBH, I just want to be able to customize the wall planters we have now as the green is so drab to me. At least a coral wall planter would make the outside look pretty af

Most coral(s) seem to grow on rock or sand; so a 'rock' or 'sand' wall for the exterior of bases, in which you can grow various corals. Maybe even a special way to grow miniature coral tubes. I'd love this...

A coral wall planter? Kind of shaped like the land plant wall planter that we have right now? I'll get to drawing that right away!

Coral tubes grow on the sea floor rather than on the edge of outcrops... Perhaps there could be a way to put them in the exterior growbeds?
