Nope zetachron, this is the 2nd postponed content update, meaning they`re way behind with stuff, so don`t think about future stuff coming earlier xD
Even worse, no Trello Roadmap update. Either they throw it out today what is unlikely since they normally use Thursdays, or again they simply don`t feel the need to tell us what`s going on with the updates like always.
Sorry for you, or better happily, the picture above is ingame and no concept art. The lowpoly model already is there. And try to spawn your ingame exosuit and realize (although still with the old clumsy model): The exosuit controls are ready and there. Programming implementation is ready.
No, I think now only the Aurora expansion is missing to get the exosuit. Or it could even happen in experimental the next days.
Beta updates don`t count much... . They are common, but until it`s an official update much can change.
Then I advise you to wait till end of May or begin of June for the official update that has all exosuit features. Right now I'm only talking about basic features to allow you playing with the exosuit.
The devs are behind the schedule, that's right, but the exosuit plans are in time. Even if the devs release the game at November the exosuit will still be finished around end of May as it was planned.
You don`t get my point zeta. The more they are falling behind, like pushing in Oculus or other reasons, the more likely it is that they will let fall features.
Like I care for the Exosuit that has to be made worth with making what`s already ingame less good. Yes it`s EA, so changes are normal. But instead of making, for example since you want it so badly, the Exosuit something to access brand new areas and stuff ingame they just change older stuff to have new ones taking their place. Not sure if I like that.

But you understand how important things like Oculus or XB1 are for game companies? Or wasting time on LODs or killing bugs? Or in your case complaining that they remove ugly placeholder models with their final models or rebalance the use of former useless items? ... All things that have to be done, only that they don't bring new features and as such we tend to suffer from waiting for features that take more time.
You're only right with one thing. The devs have planned the game much bigger than it could be for a practical release and are behind the timeline now. But the exosuit isn't the one that gets cut as it's too essential. Examples for being behind the timeline:
Creature behaviour including creature-creature, behaviour diversity and attacking bases
Lost River (still no fauna and flora, only 2 areas) and the rest got cut
You still don`t get it Zeta xD And I wouldn`t call a high upgraded Seamoth that can go quite far down "useless item". Since I`m tired Explaining fanboys something this will be my last response to that.
Considering they are still in developement and deciding if taking in Oculus (never talked about consoles what was quite clear they will be added) OR content because they have their own set deadline on trello, they simply throw oboard content for now. What you don`t get is they could`ve made a long lasting game that might have been matched with something like minecraft. Instead they seem to pick the fast money route what is sad.
Neverless, I like the game and will play it, but already in this stage of developement, my interest fades away because there`s simply the creativity going away. Like terraformer removing? Aw come on, a great tool to build and create ingame, but the devs don`t seem to like us being creative. Seems like it`s going to be just another game of "start here-end there".
Edit: Oh and for the Topic here, I guess no official updates will come april. Thursday is gone, and like the other times not really a statement to that. Come to think of it, response to this type of topic we only got when an update was coming... .
NamelessChaos

That is totaly wrong point of few, in wich you think Subnautica Developement will Stop exactley after Release, what is not the case.
Some Features stay back, some others come in before Release Date.
To delete or push back a Feature before Release Date does not mean, it will never Come back or is deleted for all Times in the Plans the Devs have for Subnautica.
Just thrust them, Subnautica will be Version 1.0 at Release, and im shure it will not stay at Version 1.0 for ever after it is Released
Sigh, then my Question would be why don`t they just simply put AFTER the release in the trello more stuff...?
Could also be done for content that might for now be cut.
Edit: I know they have something like that, but the topic there unknown let`s me just think more " nah we skip that." than "ok, that`s done later."
And there you can see that cool stuff like analyser and transfuser are already on the edge of falling out.
Like terraformer removing? Aw come on, a great tool to build and create ingame, but the devs don`t seem to like us being creative.
I don't want to get into the rest of the debate you and Zetachron are having but I just wanted to point out that using the Terraformer apparently causes significant performance issues and that's why it's being cut, not to discourage creativity.
Terrain is stored in "batches", basically a 3D array of cubes. If the terraformer is used to modify terrain, then every time you approach that area, the game has to load the standard batch, then add your changes on top. The changes also have to stored in your save game and apparently that causes file bloat.
Maybe the devs could find a better way of managing this process and keep the terraformer, but that takes time and I'm sure they decided to concentrate on other priorities.

So that's the reason the terrain loads strangely??
The reason why the Terraformer was removed is because it could affect the story (something to do with terraforming the Sea Emperor's Prison, which is something that should not be terraformed all the way through)
Experimentals aren`t valid updates. Can be counted as alpha versions at best, but I admit it`s nice having the possibility to check/play the buggy coming things.
@zetachron: Have you any problems with my post here in this thread? Anything wrong with it? Why you teach me and others all the time?
Whats the reason for your behavior?

I don't have any problems with your post here and thought we're discussing. So if you want to complain about something, be more precise.
Too many camera drones for the Scanner room causes some MAJOR game lag. I had 6 running for a bit, and the Mushroom Forest would take forever to load. 3 seems to be a good max number. And the Cyclops cams are Awesome. Plus there are controls for interior and exterior lighting on the Cyclops. I just wish they could move those to be controlled without having to leave the pilot's "seat".
Super stoked for machinery update and better performance via the LOD changes! Asset 'popping' is the #1 most annoying aspect of this game for me. New creatures look neat, though I wish they would design some nests for these critters. I want to stumble across a reaper or warper lair by accident and shyte my pants.
For what I have heard so far is that the Scanner Room ain`t much usefull for now? Not playing Experimental cause I like it stable. Already enough annoying chewing through Fallout 4 beta and then watching they put it out official WITH the vats freeze bug xD

Just for your better understanding:
You don't start arguing. You teachest me and many others here. You seem to know everything. You seem to know everything better.
I've not asked any questions. You answer it anyway.
For examples just your last replys of my posts here: (and please use a translator if you don't understand it)
After_Midnight: 141.3 MB update atm for the experimental version... (just for the record)
Zetachron: The whole weekend was without update since 32077, so no wonder. More a sign of internal problems if they step out of daily updates for some time.
Where did you get this informations? You're a developer of the game or a really close friend with internal knowledge?
After_Midnight: They've added a cam for the cyclops for example.
Zetachron: The new cyclops cams aren't 100mb size.
Where the hell I claimed that the cyclops cams have a file size of 100MB ?
Just two examples but THIS is your behavior all over in this forum. It sucks.
Many others here have a simple question and you tell them why the earth is round. Without to address the main question. It's so annoying.
Be civil and polite on these boards or you will not be here long. - Foxy
Wau, I don't want to stray too far off-topic but anyway: @After_Midnight is one aggressive member of this community O.o (well, someone had to be that one). I came here in defense of @zetachron , he posts valid and thoughtful content on this forum. I read the whole thread and there is nothing wrong with what he said... like at all.
More to the topic:
I hope we will see the update this week, otherwise something could be wrong. The trello (development one) is kind of silent...

I was wondering if that was just an indication that things were being "locked in" for the next stable build to be released soon (hopefully).
Edit: three cams :-)
With the last update 32207 we now have functional internal reactors
<img width="320" height="180" src="http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/268339194564086393/CFB151E92AABE68230BE0ACFD131B13051D16BB0/"></img><img width="320" height="180" src="http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/268339194564085918/FFE0698CD72B4560545AE6659523FE42FAD3932E/"></img>
4 rods for the nuclear reactor
the bioreactor has a container and takes rotten food
If it works like that, then we have the update this week.
EDIT:
They are smaller than expected, but aren't allowed on the cyclops. They can be rotated, maybe placed at walls? I hope we get 500 power per rod.

Right. The switches for the lights are ergonomic atm like the buttons in an Italian sports car
...for now not really useful. At the moment more an expensive toy. Maybe later after some updates...
