  I've been struggling to find much, but what I have found was in the Kelp Forest to the West of the Arora (swim away from the Arora keeping your life pod between you and it). Once you find the forest, swim to the bottom and there odd sandstone fragment there should have some.

  you need to find sandstone not limestone for find gold or sliver, i normal farm mine at the thermal vent near the kelp forest near the starting area

  Silver comes in Sandstone nodes, which are common in the Grassy Plain area (there is red grass and sand in these areas).
