Can we get a real antialiasing?

Seriously? Ok I wanted to make this topic in a long time, by "real" I mean MSAA not post processing ****.
This may not seem to you like the highest priority thing but it is VERY important to stay graphically apealing against other games that all have it.
Tbf NS2 still has its pretty cool look and successful art style, it's WASTED by the lack of proper AA.
Because when you do something as simple as looking around your eyes are welcomed with the huge GLITTERING NOISE of aliasing interacting with lights,
when standing still its not any better since you cant see clearly past 20 METERS away and everything looks like ****.
FXAA is NOT AN OPTION, adds huge input lag, blurrs everything even that was not aliased to begin with making even harder to see the distance, while not really fixing the glitter.
So PLEASE fix this! it's 2016 antialiasing is a staple in videogames even more so in a competitive FPS and this game has all the ingredients to look great except this.
In its current state I swear I can feel the EYE CANCER showing up whenever my cursor hovers in the general direction of the NS2 icon on my desktop.

Personally, I'd like to see TXAA implemented... though I'm not sure what's possible when we're stuck in DX9-land... (this area is not my forte.) I'm pretty sure MSAA is out for DX9, though.
Ugh... don't get me started...
There are people who care about DX12?
While not being an expert on the subject I can guarantee I've played at least a few DX9 games which had FULL SUPPORT for x16 antialiasing, a few example off the top of my head being Cs:Go and Crysis 1.
are we going to see Vulkan added anytime soon?
I would like my AA with a side of DX12 and fries, please. Also a diet coke.
I am so angry and proud right now for, inb4 me joking about it!
Both those games use forward rendering, which can easily implement more antialiasing options... you can even force it in from your hardware options. NS2 uses deferred rendering, it's not so simple.
Damn. Is this confirmed for TXAA as well? Also would deferred rendering MSAA or TXAA work with Dx10 version of NS2?

Idk it just feels like I'm dragging the crosshair with FXAA on
Well, I was waiting to see what you'd find.. but here's what I know:
According to an Nvidia whitepaper, at 1920x1200 with a 480GTX (ew) it causes a delay under 1 ms
Pretty negligible (considering vsync can cause 16-32 ms)
I think most individuals would prefer vulkan as its not a windows 10 exclusive
Come on, guys. Temper your expectations of this game and what's left.
the one "there is" is not actual antialiasing it's just a post processing crap filter, it's important to have a good looking game to appeal to casuals and ns2 could look pretty decent would it have proper AA else have to cope with the GLITTER VISUAL NOISE bullshit.
Huh? What's wrong with it? I get better performance and a more "steady" seeming framerate with DX11.
It's extremely buggy for some people. I haven't actually tried it with my new build, but on my last build, it would cause a ~1/4 second hitch every single time I fired the shotgun.
You are right. I just think there are bigger fish to fry. Sure if it's an easy implementation that takes 2 days.. go ahead. Unfortunetly, I think there aren't much of the above adressed points in the pan, tho.
I tested dx11 again tonight randomly to see if anything had changed. FPS does appear to be stable with it, but there are strange artifacts, like lighting pulsating in places and such. Was looking to see if it would help with the drops to 70 fps in Derelict. I get 120+ everywhere else, but that map has places that just punch my 980ti in the nuts.
DX11 is not being worked on AFAIK.

People were able to add a whole lot of fanciness to other games using this. I don't know if it would work with NS2.
