I can't make a new save

in Subnautica Bug Reporting
I can start the game just fine, but when i try to make a new save (all four modes) it loads, and then says "Loading PrefabsDatabase: 90%" and never gets past that. The timer runs and the longest i've waited is about two minutes. Ive never had this sort of issue before, ive reinstalled the game once already, and i have absolutely no idea whats going on

    I don't know if it fixed for you but i am now having that problem. My roommate had it as well weeks ago and the fix i found that worked was pressing F3 when it gets to that. Then it loads instantly.

    I had a problem recently where I started a new Survival mode gamefile, and when I tried to save the menu closed instantly but said "Game Saved." At first I thought 'wow, they sped up the save process' but the next day there was no save file to load... Reinstalling the game through Steam didn't fix the issue either. I ended up having to delete the contents of the "savestates" folder where Subnautica is installed; after that I could save again! Hope this helps.
