I wonder if there will be a way to destroy that giant gun...

If I could, I'd destroy it. Or do something in a way that would prevent it from being reverse engineered. I'm going on the assumption that the gun can oneshot ships that may have defenses vs powerful energy weapons (like shields or energy reactive armor (the kind that either redirects the energy away or spreads it throughout itself to mitigate damage). I'm not sure I'd want any of the organizations in the game universe to have such a powerful gun in their arsenals.

That's reminded me, we're gonna have to take that gun out before we can launch our rocket and get off the planet...
I thought I read that you needed clearance to enter/leave the planet, not just be free of infection? So you get cured so you can enter the machine and switch it off, THEN you go about with your means of escape. At least that's how I understood it from what little I read on the Trello cards...
Or I used to think they were bad when no one else did and I'm only now realising that they aren't
Yes. But then Alterra (or its rivals) will still be able to reverse engineer the the thing. And given the nature of gigacorporations it's not a good idea to let them do that...
Eh, you're already in super-debt to them for surviving. What else can you do?
Think of it as "flipping the bird" at them for putting you in super-debt.
No, just, no.
@Jamezorg, Inakways thought that the precursors were just trying to survive. So no, you aren't the only one who thinks the precursors are good.
precursors are good.
just go up to a precursor and ask nicely to leave. d
we don't know if the friendly
Oh, great... This scenario is starting to remind me of these games...
And then it would go on to eat everything in its path like Salamander does...
Or the organic planet in this old NES game...
As for the giant gun, I guess it's plausible that there may be more than one. But if it's the only one there's no telling what Alterra would do with it...
