Not a new gun, but maybe it would fix that question forever

Hey everyone, I couldn't help myself but feel the same as everyone : Something has to be done against predators. Not only it make sense that terraformers vessel should be able to neutralize hostile planets threats (like the AI wich calculate EVERY threat upon start suggest). But as the devellopper said, it NEED to be pacific.
So here's the idea : Why not a tranquilizer? Just as for other guns it'll need to get fragments. It could be used to neutralize hostile threat for a certain time. Maybe for close range, so it doesn't eleminate danger right away. The context would be it put small fishes asleep (same animation as death, but temporary), and to put predators in a ''pacific'' state (same rule as for the ''invisible'' command, but temporary again), it wouldn't affect big pacific fishes. Would be simple to implement as well.
That doesn't take out the threat, while giving the player a way to defend himself for a moment. That could be the mitigate way.

Could have it be a 'weaker' Stasis Rifle. It'll tranq anything smaller than Bone Sharks and only one at a time; Stasis Rifles will stun even Reapers AND multiple creatures (Anything that enters the sphere of radius) but the tranq rifle would only stun one creature at a time, and wont work on leviathans.
The stasis rifle also affects the Seamoth. Not sure if that's intentional, but if it is a stungun could have the benefit of not affecting the Seamoth. And either way, I'm sure I'm not the only one who has experienced getting into a stasis orb for a scan and been unable to locate my vehicle through the field walls when I turned around. If it's small creatures-only, it might also as well be a one-box item rather than a four-box one, giving it just that much balance that it could be preferable in some situations.
Note the first stated common usage for the Stasis Rifle in the data bank entry (emphasis mine):
Thanks. That does sound like it's intended. The reason for my confusion is that the Seamoth is the only vehicle (and as far as I've experienced, the only mechanical apparatus) affected by the bubble. Can't tell if it's just stuff not implemented yet or if the Seamoth is the aberration. The PRAWN does have the peculiarity of being able to leave the bubble, but not enter it.
