Growing new melons?

GlassDeviantGlassDeviant Terra Join Date: 2017-02-27 Member: 228342Members
So I planted one chinese potato plant one marblemelon and one small marblemelon. I can now pick potatoes off the chinese potato plant, but how do I get more marblemelons to grow so that I can leave the first plantings in place?

Edit: nevermind, figured it out...right after I posted.

The 15 year old in me want's to run rampant with a dozen "growing new melons" innuendos, but since I've already been chastised for having too much fun, I'll just sit back this time and keep abreast, of further posts.

I actually prefer regular sized melons over little ones - opinions?

Personally I find a melon's perkiness to be more appetising than its specific dimensions.

    An interesting topic indeed.

If you want to grow some new melons, you need to first plant the seed.

As a person who has a chest of melons, may I just say that the small melons are easier to transport than large melons. As for how to grow more melons, probably a mad GMO scientist would have to be involved

While that may be true, no one at the county fair is winning blue ribbons for growing small melons.

This merely indicates the rule of the lowest common denominator. It's the reason we have massive, flavourless carrots.

I don't care about the size of melons as long as they're ripe, tasty and from organic growth.

Well, each size and shape of melon has its own merits, but I have this foible where relatively closely matched melons should be packed in the same chest. Mismatched melons just don't work for me, actually both in the shipping AND handling departments.

I just had a thought. Wouldn't marblemelons be a lot smaller than they seem to be? Thus negating the need for "small" marblemelons?

    P.S.: marblemelon shark:

Probably more dangerous than a Biter, but less than a Boneshark.

    Well ya know...

Anything more than a mouthful of melon, is a waste anyway.

I think we may have to get this moved to the Subnaughtyca forums.
