    Welcome to the forums friend!

On your left, you'll see Phantom and his anime memes.

On your right you'll see some of the updates that Subnautica has released.

And, way, way back there is a thread about multiplayer. Never go back there, under any circumstances.

Thanks and happy to be here!
Never go to the multiplayer thread ay....hmmm that's like telling someone not to push the big red button :) The temptation to go there has just increased ten fold :)

Just please do not revive the thread, or start a new multiplayer thread.

Welcome friend, I am also new. I've been playing Subnautica, since it's initial release. I've been through all of the glitches and bugs that the game has to offer.

Have no fear i'm not that evil :) I do like the idea of a multiplayer / co-op, but saying that I do feel there is a great lack of good single player games out there and personally I think that Subnautica is a really good example of a SPG done right and it's still in EA! It's a beautiful world that they have created and I am really enjoying it.
Just wish I had not taken so long to pick it up!

Well met, it's actually quite refreshing seeing a let's player not screaming into the mic at the slightest sign of trouble :D

Thanks :) I'm still really new to the whole youtuber thing as I've only been doing it a couple of months and there is still a huge amount of learning to be done but I try to make them a bit of fun with little side of comedy (well...trying to be funny at least) and to show that we don't all need to be 'pro's' with games and just enjoy what you are doing :)

And if I make a little money on the way to keep me play then it's just an added bonus :)

    The funny thing is
I cracked up at that " Hypnofish" trouble you had. As soon as I was done writing my previous post you went OH GO FU*jumpcut*

Funny stuff and quite ironic after I just posted that :D

    Oh those pesky hypnofish!
the first time is new and pretty cool, 2nd time is ok, fair enough but the 3rd time is 'you're just getting silly now!' :)
Oddly enough though I have not seen them since...not that I'm complaining :)

Welcome aboard, @Phoenix1278! Let me introduce you to some of the rest of the band.

Our benevolent overlord is @Foxy, who is currently on a seek-and-destroy mission against a troublesome spambot. In more normal times, that's our resident board manager. Don't tap on the glass.

@Kouji_San is our, well...Kouji. There's really no way to describe him without using him as the description. He's our resident lovable oddball. Please do not bring up the subjects of the magic cookie jar or pants.

Then there's @0x6A7232, our resident bughunting expert whose signature block alone has solved a few thousand technical support problems. @CaptainFearless is our wildcard; you can never tell which way he's going to break on a given discussion. ;)

@Skope and @Tarkannen can always be counted on for well-reasoned, well-written, and enthusiastic input.

@Bugzapper is our longtime novelist; I'm relatively new to that scene on this forum. I also help provide comic relief, obscure references, and more real-world science and technical details than almost any post warrants, but hey, it's my strong suit.

What part of England do you call home?

Always great to see new Let's Play series on YT ^^
Fun seeing how different people approach the game, and where they decide to go and when, what their bases look like xD

And if they decide to build their first base in a 200m+ biome before getting the seamoth and MP Rooms or not ;3
On that note, after my success with building a first base in the BK Trench I'm going to try building one at the bottom of the Crash Zone's abyss beneath the Aurora's front - test my luck with Reaper Dodging while using only pipes, and to remind myself of how hurt I feel at the ILZ Corridor's constant gutting at the hands of the developers ;v; RIP Dunes Corridor, you will be missed.

I don't have VR myself, but it'd be cool to see it like that someday.

Have any plans going forward in the game? Goals and etc? Will you beeline for the Island and Aurora and scan all the essentials right off the bat or will you pace yourself? Will you visit the Inactive Lava Zone through one of the three corridors or just go through the Lost River? Will you hatch a Stalker, Boneshark, or Crabsnake egg and make it love you? (Seriously, I see almost nobody take the time to make aquariums then go hunting for monster eggs to hatch and raise. It saddens me ;v; ) Will you be using any debug commands?

It's great in VR but you will need 360 room scale as if you use the controller thumb sticks it can give you motion sickness so it's much better to just turn around.
As for where the series is heading...to be honest I have no idea. Six episodes in and I'm just seeing where it takes me but I'm also interested in seeing what happen to all the other survivors, if they actually survived that is :)

It has just told me that I could use a pet to stop me from going crazy so I think that could be quite high in the list of things to do and It does intrigue me :)
    So watch this space.
I've never really been one for using the debug commands, It kind of feel like it's cheating to me and the grind isn't too bad really.

Well I won't say anything about the lifepods since that'd be spoilers, but if you see any eggs on the ground pick 'em up and hold on to them somewhere safe! Once you get an Alien Containment unit (Late-game sadly) you can stick those inside and after some days they'll hatch. If you put two of the same species in, they'll slowly begin reproducing.

Aggressive Fauna like the Stalker will remain passive towards you if you pick them up and then release them outside - which I HOPE is intentional because i love that - but a warning: Once you release them you can't pick them back up. They'll remain patrolling the area where you dropped them, but you can't interact with them anymore. Stalkers will drop teeth when they play with Gold Ore and Scrap Metal you drop, so you can make a friendly stalker tooth farm instead of risking the Kelp Forests! As another note, they'll still try attacking your seamoth so don't release them toooo close to your base heh.

*EDIT* Actually I don't know about the Gold Ore bit. I do know they'll pick it up and hoard it, but I don't know if gold makes them drop teeth or if it's exclusive to scrap metal.

Problem for me is that once you go beyond the redgrass reef and safe shallows I cannot watch anymore cause I'm in quarantine, waiting for more of the game to complete :dizzy:

I've been spoilered a lot already though and the game is also quite complete, or rather full of content... Maybe it's time... To leave the nest of the safe shallows

Hey, @Phoenix1278, there's a solution to your "sorry about always doing the interesting things at night" problem now. Scan and build a bed; you can skip ahead to daylight before doing interesting things. :) (Of course, I'm only on Episode 3 as yet; for all I know, you already figured that out.)

    Great series!

    Awesome! Thanks for watching :)
And I have managed to get a bed but never knew it let you sleep through the night....That must mean that my guy must have stayed awake for at least 2 months before I got it, no wonder he's starting to go crazy :)
