I'm still peeved over the ILZ corridors being removed (especially for the reasons given for their cut), even if the Mountains path really does make me abundantly happy. I'm neutral on most of the dialogue changes, couldn't care less in most cases - but the opening snark was a charm the game shouldn't have cut.
Both of these could be "fixed" if we could mod the game more reliably; the devs have their vision for the player's intended progression through the game, folks can play it that way. If someone wants more complex cave networks or more islands or think the meteor impact replacing the Dunes-ILZ was a pointless change, or want more/less precursor caches, they can carve them out themselves. Want the old dialogue back, they can swap it back in (Or even add their own). Think the recipes are too lenient or even too hard, adjust them to their liking. Then, Workshop Support.
To be honest, nitpicks and everything I still adore the everloving heck out of the game, even if I do look back on some of the older stuff and sigh while wishing it were still that way.

Yeah, I'm hoping to find some way to load subnautica into unity, and then I might join the modding community.

Modding Discord
And of course there's also the regular Subnautica Discord (but I see you're already on there, just mentioning it for anyone else that reads this).
