<div class="IPBDescription">Go on a diet, fattie!</div> I've just finished performing delicate scientific experiments involving running south from the far north end of the horseshoe in Eclipse and counting until I hit the south wall, then run back north and repeat until I got a consistent result. Here are the pinpoint-accurate results I got.
LA marine with only a knife - 8.25
LA marine with spawn equip - 8.75
LA marine with full LMG, pistol ammo - 9
LA marine with shottie, 10 shells - 9
LA marine with shottie, 20 shells - 9.25
LA marine with shottie, 30 shells - 9.5
LA marine with shottie, 40 shells - 10
LA marine with shottie, 50 shells - 10.25
LA marine with shottie, 60 shells - 11
LA marine with HMG, 150 rds - 10.25
LA marine with HMG, 300 rds - 11
LA marine with HMG, 450 rds - 12
LA marine with HMG, 550 rds - 12.25
LA marine with GL, 4 grens - 9.5
LA marine with GL, 34 grens - 11.75
HA marine with spawn equip - 9.75
HA marine with full LMG, pistol ammo - 9.75
HA marine with shottie, 10 shells - 10
HA marine with shottie, 60 shells - 11.5
HA marine with HMG, 150 rds - 11.75
HA marine with HMG, 300 rds - 12.25
HA marine with HMG, 450 rds - 13.25
HA marine with HMG, 550 rds - 13.5
HA marine with GL, 4 grens - 11
HA marine with GL, 34 grens - 13.25
Skulk - 5.75
As far as I could tell, jetpacks didn't have any noticable impact on running speed.
Something to bear in mind, HMGs and GLs aren't the only thing that will slow a marine down. All weapons and ammo have weight, and the more you load up, the slower you'll be.

Well done however, now I'll know how many.... no... wait.... I won't remember <b>ANY</b> of this anyhow
etc.
"NNIIIINE ONE THOU <smack>"
Ow. Right, note down. Get up man, just 19 more trials to go
"NNNIIIINE ONE THOUSAND <clonk>"
Whimper. At least I wear a visor....
Now in the nekkid thest
"NIIINNE <oompf>"
etc.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
This clarifices it quite a bit. Thanks.
It's an anglo-american thing, right? No wonder I've never heard of it.
"Right, sarge"
"Oh, and sleep with your hands above the blankets, too."
They oughta put up a flashing neon sign above the armory, or a texture in the marine start area'
"Excessive armory humping can lead to obesity"
Thank you a lot, this information is very useful!
No, we have the same in danish at least. We just count out loud 21, 22.
each number means 1 second. Used by driving instructors to tell their pupils how to gauge the distance between you and the car in front. If you can count 21, 22 out loud and slowly before you pass a mark that you spotted the other car passing, you are at good braking distance.
I damn well hope so! :chuckle:
Anyway, <span style='color:gray'>***moved.*** </span>

BlueGhost
Here is something for you to test out Kitsune.
back in the old days of Counter Strike they did gun running to get places faster. I see it used to save a HMG on the ground every now and than and have nothing wrong with it.
Can you test this out for me and if it does apear to make a significant difference than we might submit it to the dev team to fix.
get a hmg and run a marked distance.
next run the same distance continually dropping and picking up the hmg.
next run the same distance contunually jumping and than dropping gun in air as to make it land farther.
Would you let me know if this impacts speed?

I think you've just stumbled on the next big lame......"Gun Juggling."
Not hard for Flay to correct. Just make the effect or weight a second or two longer.

The thing is, if you get attacked while doing something like that, you'd probably be near-defenseless, especially if you happen to have just picked up an HMG or welder, with a long draw time. So it's almost a tradeoff, but I could see how this might be abused while travelling down empty corridors.
Besides, I've already reserved the term "gun juggling" for what I do when I'm a bored marine -- look straight up and repeatedly hit the "drop weapon" key. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

Say...lightweight material production or something.
Half the reason I don't like being marines is how sluggish they feel, even as LA/LMG.
pretty amazing stuff here. nice job Kitsune.
