    Hump and I apoligize deeply for this incident, I can assure you that this problem is being handled internally with the uttermost urgency. We do see understand the importance of community support and hope this doesn't permanently damage your relationship with Guns4Back2School, or anyone elses.

    Which is exactly why shouldn't expect anything but a negative response from fellow mappers. My advice is if you got a map like this, don't release it on the forums. Talk directly to server admins, or put it on your own webspace. But showing it off on the forums, when there was no work put into it, is just gonna make enemies, one way or another.

    What?!?! These forums are to show off maps, give links to d/l maps, get help with maps, etc... This is starting to get stupid. I mean, now we have to go through quality assurance just to release a map <b>for free!</b> I mean, come on. If somebody has a map they want to show people, let them show it! I think the NS mapping community is try to commit suicide these days.

    Players may like maps like this, but other mappers have very little interest in these sorts of maps. I'm not saying don't make the map, I'm trying to help him avoid the grief of doing so.

    Ah, I see. I misunderstood what you were saying. I thought you were telling him not to release maps like this on the forums in order to control the level of quality. My mistake.

    There is no grief involved, i do not care how much other mappers flame me, if you flame me for making this kind of map you are the kind of person I'd hate in real life anyway. A petty, jealous person who is always getting angry about what everyone else does to make up for your own silly insecurities.

    Flame on, I'll continue making maps for people who enjoy them.

    I do not want ammunition for flaming in this thread. I was telling you my honest opinion.

    I quote myself:

    The part <b>In my opinion</b> states rather clearly that this is my opinion and can't be "not true" or "wrong" like you suggest.

    The part <b>I've seen for NS so far.</b> means that out of the maps I've seen for NS, missilecommand has been the worst.

    I understand you not liking my opinion, but saying it isn't true isn't just possible.

    Since 1.04 release, all the nozzels seem tobe screwed up. It's extremely hard to place structures on the nodes. For the Kharaa, its not bad, you can usually get the nodes by looking in different directions.

    But for the Marines, its impossible to get the end 2 nodes. And very frustrating to get any nodes. Dropping a nozel on one node, places it on the node beside it.

    Any chance you will be looking into this and fixxing it? Maps great fun every now and then.

    I've never understood the desire for these soo cooled fun maps.

    Is NS not enjoyable as it is? When you play do you not enjoy it? I'm assuming you do, otherwise you'd not play it.

    Is mapping not enojoyable enough as it is, quite frankly i get no enjoyment out of making a box with terrible lighting or whatever, it sickens me. To me, fun is to produce a high quality map.

    To me, fun is to play NS as it was orginally designed to be played, not with all sorts of crazy shizza going down all other the shop, NS is fun as it is, i get great enjoyment out of a good game of NS, far more than i'll ever get from lerk flying courses, or novelty maps.

    The phrase that really angered me was when you said "To me, fun is to produce a high quality map." and "To me, fun is to play NS as it was orginally designed to be played"

    I was asked to make a map like this because seige had too many problems to run regularly. Since its not very hard to make, and I had a good idea for a map like this anyway, I said sure. I am currently working on a completely serious map that will be very fun to play as an original style NS map.

    Just because I'm a serious mapper by nature doesn't mean Im immune to making something silly. Get off your high and mighty pulpit and enjoy the fun. Or don't, we don't care. Just stop being so blind you can't see how many people can enjoy something you cannot.

    ya same here. Also I have seen lots of this in the log's when this map is running..."info string length exceeded". Seems to like to crash the server sometimes.
