So far, you've changed stuff only in key areas like TRIAD, marine spawn and maintenance. How about changing the vent leading from the computer core to sub junction 3.. so it's actually possible to do some damage when your a skulk and there is a TF with a couple of turrets in there! <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
Just a suggestion...don't put the command console in a place where you need an extra 2 turrets to protect it. Gives the marines a bit of a disadvantage.

By the way I think its great you are changing the maintenance hive. I would make the vents (in MS) come out of the ceiling, and then adjust the lighting so the area around the vents is a little darker. eg: have one pathway leading into the spawn area, but just before it 'exits' it would split into two 'exits' so more than one alien can pour out at once. Also, I would make the weldable side at Horseshoe.
Yer i reakon make the vent weldable at the horse shoe making it at leat a little walk of death instead of welding itup straight away. And yes i never put RT in triad unless im prepared to put up turrets because it is so easy already for skulks to munch them. I definitely like the overlooking triad walkway. The new routes are also welcome. Messing with Maintenance I'm not so sure about. I think the original layout is set up pretty good. Also, I'd have to see the marine spawn to tell if I liked it. I definitely DO NOT like the weldable vent in the marine spawn. Levels that have this always force the marines to constantly weld their structures up, and worry about constant lerk annoyance and parasite. Instead you should make it easier for the aliens to enter the marine spawn and wreak some havoc before getting killed or fleeing. I hope you will release a beta version of your proposed changes once you tweak everything.
Might I suggest making the "marine spawn vent" weldable at Horseshoe instead of inside the marine spawn? I have one other problem with the vent at horseshoe.
It's tooo obvious! You need wires or more darkness to hide it a bit!
When I first played eclipse, I thought to myself "he forgot to put ANY vents in this map" and I have proceded to discover a new vent at least once a month since. (Just discovered the one in triad going to that hallway the other day!!) I think that the vent at marine base should be weldable from BOTH sides, but only on the start side after you weld it on the outside. That keeps a lerk getting in there if it's just weldable from far away, and keeps fades from exploiting and shooting through it if it's weldable on the marine side. Everybody's happy (except the skulk that got stuck in there :-p)
i got an idea for the vent, first off it need to be weldable from horseshoe side. now what you could do on marine side is have a fan on marine side that activate when you weld the switch at horseshoe. so whenever the next skulk tries to run in marine start vent, it gets killed by a death trigger. also you should set then fan a little back in the vent, just enough so a skulk could be sitting on marine side vent, but noticable enough if he tried to go fade or lerk. this would make it so marines w/jpacks wouldnt run into the vent by accident in a assault on marine start. also about the red and bkue area someone mentioned mentioned, you could have the same type of thing but both switches would have to be welded on both areas in order to activate the fan in the vent, one in the red area and one in the blue. other than that good job on the remake of the map. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

About horseshoe: The vent itself looks kinda wierd, all the vents in eclipse are concealed and this one is just there to the sight of every1..... try to put some wires or take it next to the roof, or next to the ground maybe....
