Seeing as HL2 is a lie and TF2 is vaporware, im going to say no.
Most mod's are moving to UT2k3, but it's already been said that's not going to happen. So it looks like NS is just going to die. But don't worry, its still got a good 2 years of life left!
Mid last year I read in quite a few places the valve filled for bankruptency. Vendi Vistu decided to cut its losses by selling of Sierra. No buyers yet to my knowlage, just pray its not microsoft.
Hmmm, the fact that a google search does not bring up a single article makes that very doubtful. It would be nice to see some proof to back up that statement.

It is my belife that NS will outlive halflife itself. I think that if they get enough money they could get (With some help) thier own gaming engine which would totaly own and make everyt thing else look pansy.
If nothing else, NS will outlive CS and all the generic shooters for halflife...

There is a chance NS might move to HL2....That is if Flay's great great great great grand children learn how to code as well as he does. Hell, maybe if they are lucky, they might even get to try out TF2.
I think one of the main reasons HL2 is taking so long is because Valve wants to do it right. The original HL took a long time to make (not as long as its taken for HL2, assuming they started within a year of the original HL release). By right, I mean great game, very easy to mod, and featuring some kind of conversion process to bring existing HL mods to HL2 without too much extra hassle by the coders.
Of course, I am completely speculating, but then Valve wouldn't be practicing a very smart business model if the only thing they had in their pockets was Steam.
Listen to Greedo, he knows what hes talking about, btw take a look at that link and look under the Chapter 11 article remember 1 and a 1/2 years into TF2's development they decided to start from scratch, but anyway ill be laughing like a crazy grandma on a rocking chair at u all when TF2/HL2 comes out

Half Life was (is?) an outstanding game. HL2 has to exceed it in every way or people will just complain about it being a cash cow. Interesting. Now if only we could get some computers from NASA to run it. Of course, an Alienware might do it. Oh yeah, those cost more than the ones from NASA...
GameSpy: We've met a lot of mod makers here with plans for DOOM 3, and after John made his comments yesterday, regarding a 4-player limit and synchronous launching … they were a little freaked out. Should they be concerned?
Tim Willits: It's very early in the planning and development stages of multiplayer, but we know that it is going to be scaleable. If the mod guys and the level designers create areas that can hold more than four players … it'll happen. The core technology is not limited to four players.
the nice things about games like NS is... even with halflifes dated engine, games like this are more about funfactor than graphics. ns will survive for a while, at least until someone successfully replicates it on a newer engine.
I'd like to see NS in a different engine, something like UT2k3/Unreal2 maybe. Doom 3... no. This game needs to be multiplayable
