The LAST one is the sweetest one of all. That is what a zergling is supposed to be. They are supposed ot look like this the only reason they look any differnt than this is because blizzard was lazy or did a hack job.

In case you didn't know, there is already a Zergling model in progress which looks exactly like the render pic you posted (that pic is what the modeleer used as reference If im not mistaken)

And btw can you stop spamming 50++ posts in one day, there has already been a thread on this

No it IS the same, go check it please

The only thing different are the carapace plates on its back, the one in progress has carapace similar to those of a Hydralisk while the render pic has "spikes"

I think we've reached a consensus that Starcraft Ghost models are not made by Blizzard. We're following the Starcraft manual, and not some renders by some third party. The zergling model is done. You've been spouting your hatred for it over a couple threads, and I'm starting to get tired of hearing it. I'm reporting this thread.

I bet your only saying it is "DIFFERENT ALOT" because you can't see the texture, look at its shape it is almost exact except for its back

Also NightCrawler almost all of your posts (60+) in one day are mostly hate posts. Please stop it

Those models from ghost are by blizzard. You know why? because blizzard is overveiwing the devlopemnt of StarcraftGhost and they wouldnt just let them make up a zergling with out there aproval. The zergling that is practicly done is excelent and i will use it when its completed, but that version of zergling wasnt the design i was looking for. I was hoping someone could make another model and let poeple choose if they want.

If you have read the many posts about Zerglings on these forums you would know very well that the models in SC Ghost are not by Blizzard, Blizz is only overviewing the project, they are not helping create the models, that's why you see that the models are very much different from the manual renders and cinematic.

As long as they see the model, think its OK, they give it the green light.

While the Blizzard one does look bad-bootey, I like the look of one the modeller did. I seem to remember the zerglings hopping around on their hind-legs. I think it was a Starcraft: Broodwar cinematic or something. Anywho, the modelled one.

Haha, yeah good point.

Anyway take the Dragoon SC Ghost model for example, do you think Blizz would create a model that looks like pieces of rubber sticking out from some metal ball like that?

Many people are already thinking that SC Ghost will be a dissapointment because of the models

I think Blizz isn't putting as much effort in SC G as Warcraft...

Well maybe i dont remebr the zergling as well as i thought. i still play starcraft and the in game zerglings seem to resemble the ghost picture. Also maybe the differnt types are because mutation like previously stated. The picture of the ghost zergling is the coolest to me. This isnt hatred its disscussing the coolest version of the zergling and also if someone would like to make a second zzergling model and have this be it.

Thats what dragoons were a orb with 4 legs that shot plasma the ghost model may still be changed. But that is pretty close to what it looked like.

The in-game Zerglings look like the Zerglings from the intro movie of BW.

Another version of the Ling you can see after the Invasion of Aiur mission, that Zergling has a very long body shape and resembles the Ghost model quite closely

I don't quite believe in Blizz delivering SC products anymore, take a look at the recently introduced patch 1.10 for SC, fixes 1 stupid bug yet introduces dozens of other problems, looks as if they are trying to kill SC

After Veiwing the 2d screen soo long people develope their own mental images of what they look like in 3d thats why so many poeple have conflicts over what it looks like.
• Murder_WinkMurder_Wink Join Date: 2003-01-07 Member: 12008Members
No, it is a known fact that there are many types of Zerglings, not just imagined by people.

i confess i prefer that pretty pic.. the arms on the model made here are wrong imo. Ingame its used for running and such so they couldn't be hooks. I'm not going to **** about it tho. If it looks good then weeeeeeee.
• Murder_WinkMurder_Wink Join Date: 2003-01-07 Member: 12008Members
The Zergling in the intro movie of BW uses its front "hooks" to attack the marine, I don't quite like that version tho
• NightCrawlerzNightCrawlerz Join Date: 2003-04-18 Member: 15609Members
i remeber seeing it All it needed was a skin man i wanted that model soo bad.... then it just sunk to the depths of the forums. somone should look it up and copy it or hunt the guy down.

all 3 picture links posted are from SC: Ghost. The ling from Starcraft - rts - has no arms or appendages(sp?) above his head, they simply attack with their 2 claws. I think that 3rd pic looks good, but what is with those 2 other thing above its head.... my guess is 4 attacking arms which seems alittle too infested kerrigan to me.....
• NightCrawlerzNightCrawlerz Join Date: 2003-04-18 Member: 15609Members
that is incorrect the zerglings in the actual game starcraft do have claws on there back. you can see them but its hard to see them.
• Murder_WinkMurder_Wink Join Date: 2003-01-07 Member: 12008Members
The Zergling in-game of SC does have arms on its back, it is particularly easy to notice when you are Brown Zerg, just make the Zergling run to the top in a straight line, then you can see 2 little things bouncing on its back.

here look above his back youll see somthign that isnt a leg and it just kinda bounces thats his back arms

now compare that to the top ghost picture. youll see they are the same. his frount legs arent hooks they are claws that the lazy employies didnt feel like giving detail to

Taken from http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/in...9&t=29499&st=60

That sounds like hatred to me.

And I'm looking at the render of the zergling in the Starcraft manual. It doesn't look anything like that Ghost model. The renders are what were used to make the in-game pictures for Starcraft. So go ahead and imagine what the zerglings look like in your head all you like. The official Blizzard renders in the Starcraft manuals > your imagination. And I think TRK did a great job on fleshing it out.

sorry, my bad. looked at some cinematics and they are there. it's not like they use them though. wonder why blizz put them in there. oh well.
• NightCrawlerzNightCrawlerz Join Date: 2003-04-18 Member: 15609Members
they did it so the zerglings could attck while they move.
• Murder_WinkMurder_Wink Join Date: 2003-01-07 Member: 12008Members
