like chambers?
Hey, I was wondering if it is possible to make things like elevators, rotating objects to hurt, and destroy buildings?? it hurts the hell out of people, but not buildings? is it possible?
are you sure about that?? i have a rotating door and when player get traped they die, but buildings just jam it up... is there a flag i need to set or something?
This is something, imo, that needs to be addressed. Yes, this can be viewed as a tatic; however, when you consider that doing so effectivly blocks that pathway completely...I would call it a bug...just my opinion though..
I really don't want to see this fixed. It will ruin some of the best strategies out there such as the d chanmber block for the shipping tunnel door in caged.
This "strategy" is usualy called a game exploit if i dont miss the point
I tried a few things to figure out the problem and i found that with a rotating weel that goas around in a circle like a marry-go-round DOSN'T hurt buildings at all...
BUT... when i turned the same weel up on end it killed buildings all over the place, i couldn't get it stuck no matter what i tried...

I believe Bast's airlock (outside the marine spawn) does crushing damage to buildings; I also think Relic had a pretty tough time *getting* it to do so. /:
As for Caged... yeah, you can't block shipping anymore.
ya, i got it to work, i think what you have to do is make it so the entity that is moving isn't engolfed by another with open space in side of it... that makes no sence.... haha
check out my new map... NS_wheel03... the middle wheel that spins around now kills buildings as well as people, as before in ns_wheel01 it would just get stuck... i had the base platform part of the entity so when you build something on the spinning circle it was like bulding IN the entity, so it would just get stuck..
with how i have it now, each wing is a entity, so the space between dosn't count as one, so when the wings came around and hit the object (chamber) it is was if the entity was pushing it, not inside of it....
That is what i think anyways, im not sure if it is backable, but it worked, you can check it out with my newest map... NS_wheel03

What about like at the bottom of pits and holes? The foreboding antechamber on nothing has holes on either side which kill any alien structure plonked down there (I tried it as a gorge). Couldn't this kind of "trigger hurt" be used on said doors etc?

Hmm, Fam has given us a bit of a riddle. Does this mean the new build of caged in 1.1 removes the shipping door problem? Or does it mean that Flayra has made it impossible to block doors with structures? Personally I think it's the first option there.
And in any case, I full-heartedly support the removal of that *exploit*.
