Keyboard Language Problems With Hl

<div class="IPBDescription">it does not appear what I type...</div> Hi guys

I am new to Half-Life and Natural Selection and was not able to find a solution for my problem yet:

I do have a German keyboard and a German Win2000. On the other side I have an English Half-Life and Natural Selection is in English, too. When I want to sent a 'chat message' or 'team message' I press the key which is bond to it. Afterwards I can type the text, but my letters are different:
- creates /
_ creates ?
: creates >
; creates <
ü creates [
+ creates ]
etc.
Typical 'wrong keyboard layout' problem - it's not essential to playing but gets annoying <!--emo&:angry:--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html/emoticons/mad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='mad.gif'><!--endemo-->

Can anybody (preferable a German NS player...) help me how to solve that?

    I know a program that sets a french layout for HL but I don't know any german one. You have yo get used to it.

    ctrl and 3 should give u £, but gives you # in HL

    all the buttons are there just takes a while to get used to them (or find them)
