Mapping's nice, but I'm not getting a very futuristic feel, I guess.
i like the architecture but i think the texturing must be improved scaling down the floor tex, changing the wall tex, u use just that and it's very boring,also it don't fints that much with the support/beams tex,like in the "water" room where the beams are a-fist-in-the-eye caused by bad texture choosing. for first i would change the ceiling texture!
also lightning,to blue, no contrast <!--emo&:(--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('><!--endemo-->
Very nice brushwork! Tho, I'm not to fond of your lightning usage. I think you should add more contrast, and use different sorts of colored lights.
But uh... that's it <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->
Ow and btw, is it possible to use sky textures in NS?
Other then that, nice job. Especially for 4 days.
re breaking up the blue lighting - there's white lights around, too.
re the floor texture - it's not scaled at all. That's 1x1 scale; re the computer panels - they're all temporary. I despise those HL computer panels, but have yet to make a replacement.
By the by, the blue lighting is prevalent to help convey the fact that this is an underwater facility.
Also, I agree with some of the others in that the lighting looks kind of bland and flat in places... not a lot of contrast, and it could stand to be a tad darker... although I personally prefer to be able to SEE the impressive architecture when I'm playing <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo--> The overall style of the map looks wonderful, though. Keep it up, I wanna see this map in release 1!
You have to shrink it.
There doesn't seem to be enough light/dark contrast in a few of the halls. all places should have at least two shadows, be them small or large. Shadows back in where Marines can't go don't count.
The first pic is a bit light(but that's just me). I would like to compliment you on the blue "feeling" though.
