Finished as in, playable or... 90% final.
For a couple weeks now, it has been sporting a nifty neon readyroom. Purely placeholder:
<img src="http://tald.readyroom.org/maps/ns/ns_nothing/images/oldrr.jpg" border="0">
...and totally vulgar.
This past weekend I decided to give it a total makeover. My aim was to make the readyroom the "best room" in the entire level. I can't say that everyone will feel the same way I do about the new room, but as it stands now, I'd say that it is definitely my favorite room now. It's more to the "heart" of the level (or closer to my original vision) than any other place in the bsp.
I must now muster up a couple more leaves to fit this into the main level, but I don't imagine it being too much of a problem. At least not like last time... *shudders*
Anywaaay, here are seven (7) shots, don't mind the repetativeness:

Comments
Are you sure players won't be able to block others by staying on the ladder?
Even if a bunch of "llamas" does somehow manage to block it off, it's only the Random Team and Observe Match gates up there. Heh, only.
So, it probably won't be an issue with two double wide ladders, but even if it happens, it won't keep anyone from playing the game.

No, I'm not going to answer your next question. You'll have to wait. <!--emo&;)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'><!--endemo-->
<!--EDIT|Spyder Monkey|June 30 2002,16:28-->
I love your lighting as usual. Its probably the best ready room I have seen so far.
<!--EDIT|Spyder Monkey|June 30 2002,17:19-->
the 1st pic is very similar to what i thought 4 the RR of an eventual NS_[map] made by me...CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Great work, Ken. Amazing ambience.
<!--EDIT|MonsieurEvil|July 01 2002,09:52-->
Great work....
I've been told that many people have a problem with Victory. Ken does not.
Nothing's RR = Victory
Looks awesome Ken, it fits so perfectly with the style of the rest of the map (hope I can accomplish the same with mine).
The only things that could possibly make this better are some nice sound effects (I think a sub-sonic bass rumbling of a generator for dramatic effect) and some use of particles for drifting steam and maybe dripping condensation.
/me lifts up jaw
Seriously, this is the best level-shot from the HL-engine and various other engines I've seen so far!
Simply amazing!
I'm delighted everyone seems to like it. <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo--> Thanks a million for all your comments, everthing mentioned has been taken note of.
Thanks again. <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->
Its really nice... I love your lighting. How you doing that? Is it light_spot plus a bunch of point lights? Do you use a greyish light to smooth out the lighting? what do you do??!?!
