Playtesting with pros is really stupid imo...
I mean doesn't this mean they are trying to make the game less noob friendly?

Betatesting should be done with both new, avarage and pro players.

Firestorm, that game was totally awesome! It must have lasted about 2 hours total. I love games where the rines are defending without heavies, it really encourages LMG gangbangs against fades which are just so fun.

IIRC, 2 of those deaths of yours were mine from my uber 'chase the fade with a pistol' style <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'>

p.s. - that game had the most nade spam I have ever seen, 2 gl's sitting on top of the armoury pretty much permanently, throwing mines at the cargo main entrance, and 1 guy hurling them down the vent, for at least 20 minutes <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/nerd.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='nerd.gif'>

I know exactly how good I am at fps in general (once i've had a few days to get used them), im about 1/3 from the top (in terms of player rankings). I know this because I'm usually 2 3rds of the way up the scoreboard, though sometimes I'm nearer the bottom and other times im at the very top. but i suck at rts although im better at ns comming than c&c, but thats cause people don't rush as much in ns.

If I remember correctly, I'm dead 2 times as a fade and 7 times as a skulk... Damn right its about having fun, any time I'm on a server I just throw away my guns and see if I can leg it to the hive and kill it with my measley knife. Same for fades and oni, just chase after them with your l337 h4X n0if and they spend too much time rolling on the ground laughing to bother to kill you.
To finish this off, I know I suck, and I dont care if I suck, I just want to have fun and get a kick out of doing stupid things that no seriuos gamer would ever try.

For some reason I am a slightly above average skulk, and not very good with anything else. I sometimes on the pubs get slightly good as a vanilla marine, but I'm best as a skulk.
Even late-game, I prefer being a skulk ;
Carapace + clerity = super skulk of doom <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'>
I've had about 1 year of pure dm experience - hense moving around like an idiot as a skulk while attacking is something I am used to ^-^
I also like exploding, that is fun also.
However, lerks I completely suck at :/

I'm really just a mediocre player too, but I was kind of wondering about something...

Does anyone else get in the 'zone' when they play sometimes? I do occasionally and its simply sensational. I become like a god for the remainder of my play session, usually of course, this doesn't happen. Its only once every couple weeks or something. Anyway, anyone else get that sometimes?

I suck.
Especially as a marine. Holy sweet god. I get all cramped up and tense and suddenly I can't move m mouse anymore and then I get eaten, which fills me with RAGE!!! so I do even worse because I'm even more tense. My spatial abilities seem nonexistent, so I'm constantly backing into things and getting hung up on them in a fight which of course means I'm no longer moving which means of course DEATH.

Oh well.

Yup.....I'll get in on this: I suck too.....both as Marine, as Commander, and as Alien!
As Marine...well, on the first page.....someome said something like he is more likely to draw a smiley face on the wall than hit the Lerk chewing his leg......thats me.....and as Comm...uggh, well in my defence thats not TOTALLY my fault......my 250+ ms pings and the fact that I'm on a 350Mhz PC make commanding really laggy, so it's hard to do with the lag, so i may do better if i had a decent PC......but we'll start a round as Marine, and no one will Command, they'll all run off elsewhere and I'll be like "Dudes, do NOT leave me to command...i blow" but they still dont care.....off they go, to do my misguided bidding, lol

And you would not belive Roo if you saw him when he decides to hunt marines with lerk, descending on them with only bite, like hawk on flock of panicked hopeless chicken - at least that's how I feel :-D

Man I am absolutely horrible as a lerk. Every time I try to fly away I fly to high and get stuck in the ceiling while the marine chasing me get a few free shots <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif'>

You should see me as a skulk.. Last time I played, I ran into a room with a marine in it, somehow ran right past him, jumped and landed directly on his head. So I stop moving, wondering where the hell I am because I got so damn lost.. Then I died. It was fun though..
