Look I just have to ask: why does the alien cloaking upgrade have a sound for cloaking and uncloaking? It completly negates the value of getting the upgrade! The minute marines hear that they know there's a cloaked alien nearby and what's worse when you try to spring that ambush you make another incredibly easy to hear sound that alerts the marines as to where you're coming from! Cloaking is, if I see it correctly, suppossed to allow an alien to be more stealthy and set ambushes. But when you make a sound that is the equivilant of placing a large neon banner over your head flashing "SHOOT HERE!" it kinda ruins the ambush

well even if you did cloak hives and stuff 100% it wouldn't do jack, you can still hear the hive and see where the offense chambers shooting from if i'm guessing right
Cloaking field thing = me happy. Ninja super-skulks of dewm!
well speaknig of the no point in personal cloaking becuase of the sound i often and im sure MANY other mairne players get sort of "paranoid" especially when u hear it getting closer and louder, even in viaduct in nothing, if they cloak and i hear it i search every corner before i leave and when i do leave i ALWAYS check my back once inawhile, also the parasite sound gets me "paranoid" becuase i dont want to be marked dead and stalked, its what brings the "spooky" sci-fi feeling into it, remeber, a skulk with silence and rines dont have mt yet= always check your back D:
Man, its going to be great with the Sensory Chambers cloaking everything around them, & the thing been paranoid about cloaking sounds, one thing I would be scared about is coming around the corner just to see the SC there, then going to the grave-yard. It will be fun!!

Oh my God, scent of fear detects all marines now? I don't see how this game is going to pull off a suspenseful atmosphere when both teams are going to have upgrades to see each other. That's just ridiculous =(

edit: Anyway, my main point is that I felt a lot of fun left the game in 1.04 when the marines got MT. being able to see everything is boring and kinda defeats the purpose of the suspenseful atmosphere. Unless the sensory chambers have a huge range or the gorges go crazy and Sensory the entire map, I don't see how this will drastically change. Correct me if I'm wrong. I just loved the suspense of actually not knowing what's around a corner half the time.

Aw, no more good carapace. Whats the good part of having it then? Pretty weird to me. I wish the movement still made things go faster, like the OC, and spawning in and such. Would be cool.

A gorge doesn't need to go crazy with the SC to completly negate MT. While im not sure of the range of the SCs Having a few in some key traveled area (eg. you wouldn't need any in the hive as most people would expect the aliens to be there anyway but in places like mess hall for example) should give the aliens a sizable advantage. (In theory anyway).

I know the first thing I am going to want to do once I start playing as Alien when 2.0 is out: MAKING TRAPS! Row of OCs a Row of DCs and a SC to cloak everything!
I have reaad how on maps like Mine shaft, with all its corners and turns that SCs can cause alot of strees to Rines moving away from base. Your walking and Boom mid air something Leaps at you, before you realize its a Skulk, your being ripped to shreds... SCARY!!!
So whould haveing MT to get Slience and SC to have Cloaking, make you almost undetectable? Silence negates the cloaking sound right? So you would be able to run around totally quite and attack quite and then slip back off into the darkness.
every game i gorged in NS so far i went a 8/10 ratio of games won to lost, i lost one due to poor teamates, the reason why we win and i stress aliens to cut me sum slack when i do this is i put up as many res towers as i can, then mabye add 1 oc inside it on a few of them for protection, then i have sumbody else go gorge and place up ds while i put up the hive... once the2nd hive is going up i get my resources and place oc/dc teraps, ie, right around a corner so when a marine coems down by the time he notices hes hit by 2-3 stacked ocs and a d chamber for protection. the best thing to place an oc is in a point where it gets them by suprise, dont put them in a LOGN hallway stacked with 3-4 ds behind them because itll be a field day for the marines. ALWAYS place your ocs in point for a suprise attack, with 2.0 out my sneakage for suprise ocs attacks will be even MORE deadlier >=D
