Now you don't
Anyone else been placing towers as aliens in fun spots (like vents for sensory) and on railings only to have the tower the second you place it start sinking into the ground but it still builds like all good alien structures do and you get the cloaking from sensories making it impossible for the marines to take it out is this a known bug?

It's a known bug, but I'm not sure if structures always work when they sink.

Most areas the sensory did work because I think it has the biggest area effect range and in some I got is so you would be standing over nothing and getting healed

Alot of areas they fall so far that they dont help you. They fall so slow that you might get the cloak heal or move bonus for a minute or so though.

    One sentance... wow!

But as for the problem, yeah, it's a known bug, and yeah, it can be fun and annoying at the same time. Don't know what to tell you

I remember doing that once. The aliens thought were hiding, but we were all under the level.

It's a nice trick im sure but im also sure that it'd be considered an exploit. I wouldn't go around trying to get it to sink/build on purpose.

Only problem is that you have to know where the ip sank.

As for sensories? They stop cloaking after a while.. they sink too far.

If its an exploit, it's not a very good one. Almost all the time it means res down the toilet, all for nothing.

Though sometimes it's poetic justice, like when medspam falls through stairs

Technical bug inherent in game. Cheap, but not an exploit of intent.
