I mean i'm pretty sure i don't go round ""elite" H4XING" and insulting people online trying to act hard or wotever. So come on if the online community can be friendly to all other people who play online at least give a thought that not all 13/14 maybe 15 year old gamers are jackasses?     it's not really the voice it's the constant whining/life-telling that gets on people's nerves. If a squeaky-voiced person uses the mic to say useful stuff that's fine in my book.

    heh, heres a simple fact, for all those ppl who bash all 13-14 year olds simlpy because of their age they are jackasses, they love acting hard for the fact that they are older, its a cultural thing, i think its safe to say tho the higher in age you get the less of a jackass you are overall, but there are plenty jackasses in between, as such when you grow older we expect you do bash younger ppl, its the loving cycle of life, besides you only get to be old once, might aswell make the most of it, bash away! <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I'm 15 and i can pretty much safely say that no one suspects that I am unless i tell them, or start singing S-Club-Juniors over the mic when the game is already lost.


    Speaking of which, we had a singing competition when 6 HA with HMG were camping outside our hive building seiges. God that was funny as hell.

    I think that people are too harsh on the young players. Sometimes I have to tell people that I am female and not young to get them to stop harassing me. That's not fair, and it's certainly not fun. Remember that this is a game, it is supposed to entertain people. And it is actually much worse being in the recieving end of some "harmless jokes" and "clever but funny insults" than you would think. Please be more considerate to your fellow players and stop acting like you were all 12 yourselves.

    Sorry, i just had to get that off my chest. Too many people are behaving like morons out there, and that just isn't entertaining. Young players might feel compelled to leave, and I want more people playing NS, not less! Even the ones with pitchy voices!

    Wow...age doesn't really affect your ability to play if it's above a certain level, 14 or older. The people younger didn't develop the skill others had more time to develop. I, however, have no problem with the persons age or their voice as long as they don't abuse the voice comm in a way teflon described.

    I do remember when I was 13, and I do remember how retarded I was, but I also remember how smart I *thought* I was, and I also remember that I was a very competitive starcraft player, playing with top players and keeping myself on the high on the ladder. In my experience, the younguns dont get bashed, might there be something specific about yourself that is causing people to give this negative reaction? Maybe you are voicing opinions that people disagree with and they are using your age as an insult instead of addressing your ideas?

    If they comm and they have a sqeaky voice, i just can't take them as seriously as low-pitched voices. I mean, its just as if you goto work and your boss is this 10 year old thats ordering you around, you would take them much less seriously.     You get so cocky when you're young. You preteens don't get it yet, but you will. You think you know everything, and you DON'T. I know it is hard to accept, but just trust me on this. The only thing they teach you in high school is how to approach girls without slobbering and how to walk without embarrassing yourself. When you get into college, you'll double the amount of knowledge you know now, and high school will seem so distant and worthless in the long run.

    And then when you imagine when you are 13, you'll stop and say.. "Man, I was such an idiot when I was 13."

    We have been bashed down by "REAL LIFE" and all of our dreams have vanished and been replaced by 8 to 5 labour jobs where even garbage men laugh at us.
