<div class="IPBDescription">Please stop posting about eta's.</div>Flay and co are wokring as hard as they can to get NS finished, you guys have to just be patient and wait, please stop asking about the ETA, whether it be openely said or inserted into the middle of a comment. All it does is make the higher ups annoyed and it really isn't good for anyone. Just wait till it's done, you won't be disapointed, you can trust me on this one. But please, the closest ETA your going to get is <b>WHEN IT'S DONE</b> so please stop asking.

So true tick, and you can get a geforce2 for less than 30 dollars and it will run 800X600 opengl at 30-40 fps on most systems.

ANYWAY, the mod looks absolutely incredible, as all the screen shots show. Stories are written about amazing experiences in the game. And every list of features and weapons is positively wonderful.

And you wonder why people drop by the forums and make one post asking when they will get to play it?

No, no, better yet, you don't wonder.. you get angry and want to ban them for being excited about something you created?

I mean, why have a 'PR' person if you are going to get your underwear in a bunch when someone asks you when they will get to play what you are hyping?

It is like showing a movie trailor and not saying when it is being released.. sure, you might not know and want to perfect it to what you envisioned, but you do not get ANGRY when people ask.

But whatever, get mad when people are excited and want to play your mod.

The problem isn't so much the when as the how soon. Right now, we've been 'At the End' for 3 weeks. People don't know when the end is. We know Flayra wants the mod perfect, but he can at least say it will be done approx XXXX, based on his current progress.

the problem with the releases and the ETA is that if u say ns will be out in a week, after a week its not done.... u dont release it, and u get killed by the crowd thats why there isnt any eta´s or release dates or anything like that usually they tell u the day its going to be released, some hours b4 the release, (when they are sending the files to the mirrors)
so u ppl could just stop askin for a release date, coz they aint that stupid to tell u something they are not sure about.....
there are still some bugs and they gotta test them and fix them, until then, we will have to keep busy so we dont think about the release......

i have a vodoo 3 and before i had like 30 fps. but i just got a different video driver and i got 40 to 60 fps. the driver i got is only a demo but works just as good its called WickedGl it works with OpenGl. sorry if i got off topic just trying to help ppl get better fps

He can't, though. Changing one thing frequently leads to a new, unforseen problem. When I first joined, a certain command could *only* be bound to a certain key... Flay finally fixed it, but the "fix" meant that all of a sudden you could bind it to everything BUT that key! Also, the most recent build introduced a nasty bug which affected the Command Console... Flayra stomped it out in no time flat, but it certainly wasn't a planned bug.

My point is, you really can't say when it will be done... Mr. Murphy is always chillin' in the next room, waitin' to mess it up.

That said, it'll be out as soon as Flayra-ly possible. (:

I think the dev team shouldn't say ANYTHING about the release date, even if everything is finished, they should act like they still have things to do. Then they can drop the bomb on us all, so to speak. It'll be great. ^_^ You'll log on NS thinking, 'I wish they'd release the dang thing. Buggy or not, I wanna play!' and then you'd see 'NS RELEASED! ( FINALLY! )' on the news page. Wouldn't that be a great surprise? ~_^

Xerxes, that is why I don't care about TF2 anymore and why just about everyone thinks it is vaporware.

Lots of movies and exciting new features annouced.. screenshots.. info.. then nothing.

If TF2 came out tomarrow I wouldn't say "Wow! What a great surprise!" I would say "Ok.. it is finally out. Let's see if it is worth the wait.".

But I guess that is just me.

Do you know what would help? A Done-O-Meter like on The Wastes main page. I am aware of the news article but that is dated August 1st. Everyone knows that is old. A meter would be dateless, convieniantly. Wow I can't spell, maybee i should sleep.

Well in the thread that was deleted without a word, they said that the front page %s are the most info they have given in two years and it is new enough.

I guess over two years two weeks old information seems really fresh and up-to-the-minute.
