Well if it is outside of NS then the server must be running VAC, Valve's anti-cheat proggy. VAC detects CD, and would permanently globaly ban your cd-key/wonid, however CD automatically boots you from the server to prevent that. Thats what I understand it to be. Hey, I am curious about the whole 3 servers a minute though. I mean WOW, <b>HL on crack</b> or what? How is that possible??

Flay, please screw VAC, it blows, stick with C-D. I know from talking with countless hackers, (net-tez, myg0t) that C-D is 1000 times more preventive towards any hack than VAC is.
And now to add to the list of the hackers I know that claim C-D is more annoying to them, we have InfraRed.
C-D is also updated MUCH more frequently than VAC; and esp. since Valve is concentrating on Steam and HL2, I doubt it to be updated frequently if at all.
Ditch all plans for VAC and stick with C-D, it works better, is updated weekly, has no lag, no strain on the client, small DL, it really is a dream come true for preventing h4x.
Now, onto the topic of this thread:
#cri. is a clan that won't play very often on non-CD servers, simply because yes, we are paranoid, and it's within the range of our reality that <span style='font-size:21pt;line-height:100%'>*GASP*</span> there are clans out there with hackers who want nothing more than to win, no matter the cost.
I remember when we started to enforce this rule in our clan of C-D only servers, and we scrimmed exigent, they kept trying to join with C-D on and got kicked for over an hour, and eventually we had to eat dinner. It's quite annoying when other clans are too lazy/incompetant to DL a file smaller than... actually, C-D is the smallest DL I can think of on the internet...
Hehe, I used to hate CD because it was constantly getting updated, but this was only before I realised that I can make the program get its own updates. It may not be a big file, but it was annoying to fetch and install a new version every time I wanted to have a little game session. Running it is no problem, I let ASE turn it on when needed.
i agree that VAC is ****, C-D stops you using cheats, VAC asks if you have any, C-D is going to work much beter than NS, and i dont see why C-D cant become part of NS itself. when was the last time you saw a hack in a NS server that used C-D?. when was the last time you saw a hack in a CS/dod server running VAC?
Just so I dont get banned from these forums for saying I cheat, I only cheat in CS and have never even considered it for any other mod than CS. Especialy NS due to it having such a good community and being a fun game. I cheat in CS to have fun, it aint cheating infact its raging, what could be more fun than having a 360degree aimbot and 1000x speed with a knife. They are the real lamers as its very dishonest, at least when I cheat I do it out loud and blatantly, its also funny the stuff people come out with. But yeah, why do you cheat like that. I reckon if cs was free of all the name calling and the idiot hackers its actually quite a fun game. And i can't believe you actually openly admit to cheating, I don't care if it's on another mod, but people worked hard on that mod for your (or everyones enjoyment). Back on-topic. Yeah if you get annoyed that you have to open and close c-d the, just use ASE, its great cos it does it for you. As for changing 2-3 servers a minute... why would you want to do that, did you know that you can browse servers?
One person I know cannot run CD on their computer for some strange reason. When running CD an connecting to servers, it hangs before it gets to console and gives him this error. Any suggestions to fix?
Kinda wierd, but oh well I supposed. I use Cheating Death all the time except for when I play DOD 'cause DOD wont run with CD running also. One thing that kind of sucks about CD is that it's possible to get around.

#cri runs cheating death on our server and we have a lot of clans that will refuse to play on it, as well. I think some of the clans are too lazy, some of them may be questionalbly hackers.

I'm lazy, I don't like seeing [NO C-D] because i am so lazy, and in NS its pretty obvious how to tell a "h4x0r" from a very good player. Especially in 2.0. So yeah go ahead and call us "Yankees" cheaters/lazy-bois, whatnot, don't really matter. Pretty soon VAC will be running anyways, automatically updating in the background, so us lazy folk can go about our business.
