I assume the func_illusionary infestation thingy is being lit up by the lights around it...is there any way to stop it looking...well...awful...? I was just testing the idea, and wondered whether you can make it stay dark or something...set it so the lights have no effect, possibly? I dunno, mebbe someone else does <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

You may want to consider remodeling that into a vertex-manipulated pile of junk that crawls halfway up the wall and hangs some from the ceiling. It's more difficult, but you're going to need to learn this stuff sometime. Search this forum for vertex manipulation and you should find some good tutorials on that.
I think you have it backwards; when I use solid it is not fullbright, but when I use texture it is.

I'm pretty sure that's actually being rendered fullbright -- what are the settings on the entity?
Render Mode - Texture (i'll try solid in a sec)
Render FX - Normal
Render Mode - Texture (i'll try solid in a sec)
FX Amount - 255
the rest is normal, standard settings, coz i dont like to fiddle with stuff i dont get heheh <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
I'll try with Solid now....brb <!--emo&::marine::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/marine.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='marine.gif'><!--endemo-->
EDIT: it works! wahoo ty Kage/Rendy/etc
i think i had to do wiht not having a "{" at the beginning of the texture name. thie menas the engine
won't remove the blue parts. you can get tehm to wrok by copying tehm into a sprated wad and
adding the { to the texture name. in that case it would be good to wad include the texture.
let me know it thats un clear
