    well i was checking things out in hlmv and well <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo--> alien 4 or fade's v model is still the default claws and acid rocket thingy its not an alien model im assuming this is a bug so im telling you man

    yup I was talking about this in the construction thread... I just recently got Necrosis' permission to use his fade hands in my next version... which I will make with more sounds and more models/skins (i.e. fade "drone" claws) once I get enough feedback.

    Yeap... the point was to make 'em black. Because (on average, and based on Aliens the movie) they're pretty much colorless. They're completely black and only shiny or chromed on slimy areas (I don't have like 9 years on my hands to make a cool slime-effect, however). So I made them black to look as real as possible. If in the movies they were green or red I could do that, too, but they're black so it also adds to a very creepy effect if there's not 1,000 players on a server. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    textures could use major improvement. those things might as well be greyscale...and hardly greyscale if that. it's all black and white ;cept the teeth. depending on what programs you have at your disposal you could try setting up a scene and adding at least some light in and then baking the light + surfacing tweaks into the texture. nothing is colorless

    I started out with a very colorful texture, but I removed it all and make it black on purpose... yes I could make it more light, change color, make it purple, blue and cyan with chrome and transparency and weird crap all over it, but the aliens from the movies are basically greyscale as well... again Photorealistic is said for a reason... because it looks like the movies. I'm not concerned with making it all flashy and colorful with crazy textures, I'm concerned with making them look like they do in the movies.

    i do agree with it being photorealisitic but with NS maps being dark enough as they are... meh

    i\ the carapace is more of a medium-dark grey with a touch of blue. everything inbetween is about the same with less blue. The least you could do to create a more realistic effect is make the black lighter especially on ridges on the carapace so the model is more receptive to lighting changes. I'm not complaining, bashing your pack. I'm trying to give suggestions as to how it would be more accurate. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    edit...again: this doesn't apply to the whole thing. Mosts obvious is all the heads and pretty much the whole onos. teeth should be bigger and not dirty looking. they're actually very clear and looks a lot like foggy glass at times

    actually, the alien is black in the first movie, turning slightly grey as the movie progresses. The costumes were black in the second movie, and the puppet/suit was brownish black in the third and fourth movie. The bluish tint in Aliens is due to lighting.

    just amazing. the player models are beautiful. i dont bother with the v_ mods though, lol. they're a little silly if you ask me ^_^ but whatever! gg releasing! <33333 w00teh time to play >:F

    edit: unless i'm trippin out again, the v_model for the fade is the standard one...hrm....MISPACKAGED OHNOES!%)&!)(*! FIX FIX!

    again...it could be me trippin out ^_^ whatever.

    I like it for the most part.

    The only thing I dislike really is that fact that the v_models are basically the defaults, just with some carapace skin that doesnt look that great on some of them. I really love the Skulk v_ model though. Sounds are great. Goodjob overall.

    You should make the black parts a bit brighter couse dark is allways a bit hard ,or maybe try a very dark blue it will look better ingame couse these are a bit hard to see.

    I allready have these models but with a bit coloured skin.

    as said before, i'm not a fan of these "photorealistic" and too dark textures
    I prefer the original AVP2 skins, those have more contrast and you can see the detail that's lost on the photoskins

    anywayz, it's still a lovely pack and i'm gonna try it out tonight

    erm well tbh, i was was gonna mention that they look exactly the same as the ones i already got, so i opened them both up in HLMV. my older ones seem to be browner looking <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif' /><!--endemo--> , compared to the new ones, which have more of a silver sheen to them. tbh i think these new ones might be more visible to the old ones. but then again u might not have the same modles as wot i have/had.
