WTH are you talking about man? The IRA have been bombing the UK for nearly 50 years!! And don't try and prove me wrong by saying only 70 because its there in black and white saying 170 and the TV reports are putting the figure higher than that.
I still can't believe what happened.
getting tired off this ****
Yes it is getting out of control.
Oh, our hearts bleed. Bite your excessively patriotic, filthy tongue and have some **** respect for the innocent dead.
But whatever happened there in madrid, the death of innocent people is just shocking
Good.
Oh no no I'm sad at the loss of life. But I'm glad it was EUROPEAN deaths.
It's about time the rest of the world gets some of what we've had to tolerate. What Israel has had to tolerate. All Europe has done is criticise (And give the US faulty intelligence I might add) the US for anything and everything we do. Twice a week, Americans are getting blown to bits in Iraq. Maybe next time you'll think twice about nagging and criticizing for what the US and Israel does to stop terrorism.

Only thanks to my will power have I refrained from flaming you for this.
If you´re glad about the murdering of 200 spaniards (1425 injured), then i guess i should be happy about 11S , because since that tragedy, USA chose to stop helping ETA.
But i´m not, as i´m not a stupid and don´t believe in all that patriotic crap.
I think everyone else has filled in actual facts to point out why so I'll refrain from beating on you for your complete and utter ignorance of what actually goes on in the world ><
oh, and I say the same as Doom

As for EEK, Israel was founded due to terror attacks. It is maintained through tactics that remind me of a certain dictatorship. I'm starting to feel that both sides are as bad as the other, and your attitude isn't helping me reverse that feeling.
just sorta thinking about this.
This is just as bad as the attack on the twin towers (leaving alone all of 9/11 as a worse tragedy simply b/c of how calculated it was)
I am a NewYorker (though I was away at college at the time of 9/11). I don't personaly know anyone who lost loved ones in the 9/11 attack, but thats b/c it was so... centralized. Those people who didn't have regualr dealings in the twin towers were not effected.
This was instead an attack on public Transit. If something like this happened in NYC, London or any one ther major city (I know very little about sapin, so I am sorta assuming that their public trans is kinda like ours) everyone in the city would be effected......
10+ bombs in 3 stations.....
there is no way that couldn't have effected me.........
bah.....
depresed now.
gona go study for my test tonight. ;(
Good.

While I'm nowhere near agreeing with that idiot, you have to remember that a lot of people said the same crap after the towers went down on 9-11, so I guess I can see where he's coming from. There's a lot of people who didn't give a **** about the loss of American life after that.
That's pretty damn shocking though, I was kinda under the impression that Europe was a little isolated from all of that terrorism business. Guess this shows how wrong that stigma is.
And believe me, it's not just because he's my friend, it's because it's horribly inhumane to attack in such a way, and I feel just as disgusted whether it is in America, Spain, Israel or elsewhere.
But people who just kill innocent civilians or travelers just make me really mad.
How do you plan on getting support for your cause by attacking the public whom u want on your side? If you dont like the govt. or whatever organization at least attack thrm directly.
yea yea I know its not that simple blalbla but still.
Things like 9/11 were not aimed at the "government" but instead at The USA. Their desire is to hurt the country, not specific people/parts of the govn't, but instead EVERYTHING in one fell swoop.
I am assuming this is probably the reason behind this attack also. (not positive, b/c according to the BBC it is not a sure thing as to who is responsible for the atack, though most are swaying twoards the Eta)
Good.

Since when was the US given faulty intelligence by Europe? Americans are getting blown up in Iraq not because of Europeans.
I dont think they are going now.
The last time my parents traveled to europe the subway station they were in in London had to be evacuated b/c the police thought they found a huge bomb inside.
How could you possibly be justified in such gross generalisation? Innocent people should die, because some Europeans are critical of America? As far as your Iraq statements go, Spain actually supported the Iraq war. And, of course the American deaths in Iraq weren't civillians riding the train to work in the morning.
We've had of terrorism. You might have noticed (or probably not, actually) that this attack was blamed on ETA, a European terrorist organisation. Clearly such a group would have targeted Europe prior to this event. Then, of course there's been the ongoing issue with the IRA here in the UK for some time now.
Frankly, I'm truly surpised at the plain ignorance and.. there are still no words strong enough to express my feelings.
What a horrible thing to say.
Why can't everyone just get along.
