'Gluecifer - Take It' seems to have the right combination of semi-'calm' moments and fast rock to weave a video into.

Just my two cents.

I believe that's from Metallica...

I'd say on Damage inc, you'd have to take out the intro, same with Fight Fire with Fire, unless you're preparing for action, or something...

I hate to be the fourth one to tell you, but Pearl Jam - Do the Evolution is a must. It fits all the criteria nicely , and I just love it for it's absolutley amazing video.

It'd be nice to have a frag vid without hearing a mix of noise and pots & pans blended together with suicide-note lyrics (I think they call ti HeavyMetal?). Anyways I'm all up for some rap/hip-hop/techno music in frag vids. It just seems to fit in more. Watching frag vids to rock music is like eating sugary soup, or salty chocolate, it just doesn't mix right. Given there are some decent rock songs (I must admit I have about 30) but generally, rap/hip-hop/techno will serve your needs much better (o ya and maybe a lil rave too).

agreed. i'm looking for some techno that would work well for an intro, or maybe even something classical. once again, NEED HIP-HOP SONGS!

anyway, thanks everyone for the suggestions, only 2 of the songs will be heavy metal, 2 will be hip hop, and it's possible do the evolution will be in the credits/out-takes section.

Nickelback - The Long Road (Bonus Tracks) Album:
Track 1 - Flat on the Floor
Track 4 - Believe It or Not
Track 6 - Because of You

Insane Clown Posse - (Can't remember the Album) - We dont die; Juggalo Remix

Most of these were chosen simply because of the beat and not the lyrics, but Track 1 and 4 from The Long Road are good choices. Track 4 is the best choice, IMO, for any action moment though.

[as well, some Video Games like Mega Man X have good theme music w/o lyrics (if for some reason you dont like lyrics...)]

Hip Hop is generally tasteless,

Classical and Rock for teh win
• Renegade.Renegade. Join Date: 2003-01-15 Member: 12313Members, Constellation
Actually I forgot teh classical too (I loved what it did with the NS 2.0 trailer), but if you play rock it should only be at the end "maybe Linkin Park-in the end" to signify that all is lost (since rock is generally sadistic), or maybe during Xenocide sequences (also since its lyrics are suicidal). Rock should NOT be played during any action sequence, it is just fast-paced enough to keep up with the action, for this use techno/dance and for the in-between segue scenes use hip-hop/rap.
Sorry I can't offer you any suggestions... I have over 660 songs, 70% of those being rap/hip-hop/techno/rock, so it'd be too hard for me to narrow it down to a few.

Personal Demos from 3.0b, if you want I may still have a few from 2.0 but I think I deleted all of them for space reasons. Don't feel like making a frag video because I spend too much time playing the game.

As I think about it: You might also consider the S&M version of Battery. The introduction is played by an orchestra, classic slow music, maybe you should show some 'peaceful' pictures during that part of the movie, like two gorges building a resource tower or something. Soon thereafter, it changes to fast heavy metal, which could introduce a marine assault on the alien mother hive.
If you cant find the right version, I can send it to you via DCC in IRC, find me in #naturalselection.
