I'm sorry, but I'm not going to list the multitude of reasons why and how a dead weight player can impact a game.
Frankly, I'm advocating fairness. If a higher skilled player than the average can't join, than neither sh… -
I was with you right up until this part:

If you're going to request this, then you damn well better request the inverse too. Especially if you want to talk of fairness. If averages are in the mid two thousands (and they frequen… -
The general consensus is that’s currently caused by the AFK plugin not correctly marking players it moves to spectate as just spectators. Instead it marks them as both playable and spectators. Furthermore though if that player rejoins the game, they…

Personally I’d just like it if I could set the average hiveskill to disappear a minute into the round.
I think that would solve a lot of problems. Individual hive scores aren’t shown for very long, why should the average still be shown?<… -
As a server op, I think a switch plugin feature would be great and I would love to have it. But I feel as if it would ruin the shuffle more often than not.
What happens during the scenario where a new player wants to swap teams and a 4K … -
Always happy to help people who want to help the community, @pSyk0mAn
I watched a game a day ago that played far more balanced than when I first put it on… -
So, some healthy criticism.
Firstly, the small and inconsequential gripes:
- The map likes to make people think that they can go to Access from the bottom of control. It looks like a door when it is not. I saw both aliens and marin… -

I did read the whole thread. Did you so soon forget what you said about assuming?
Besides that, you're missing the entire point or you conveniently ignored it to point out how "wrong" I was about how karma worked. I fr… -

I would argue that kicking an active player out of a slot simply because you're more popular on a server is the exact sort of thing we don't want new players experiencing.
The rest of what you're complaining about… -
There are many benefits to servers having spectator slots.
For one, it helps keep the server seeded and the server is less likely to die as the amount of people that leave after playing are replaced by those in spectate, so the server po… -

Didn't say my server was one of them. But thanks for your input.

At the end of the day it's a damned if we do, damned if we don't scenario.
As a server op, I can say with extreme certainty that if I did not have a shuffle on the server it would be abused immediately by those who would stack in order t… -

Probably because it doesn't mean "Rookie Only"?
The idea of rookie only servers is a joke. The blind can't lead the blind. But really that's not even the problem. I know plenty of veteran players who are more than willi… -
I had this problem a long time ago when I first started my servers. The problem was that I simply had windows power options set to "balanced" instead of "high performance." So it was throttling the CPU during periods of inactivity, thus the tick.

I think you're confused. The TA main server only runs 24 slots.
Additionally the siege is …I own one of the servers it currently runs on, I can tell you most of what crashes the server has have been fixed. The big problem right now is actually the Steam workshop.
Occasionally the server will be unable to connect to the worksho…My servers are also both having crashes on map change. Server swaps to next map, and then crashes on loading the map. One is stock with Shine a few other mods, the other is a modified tick rate/interp/mr/sr/bwlimit
in Random server crashes (build 268) Comment by AmbivalentAmbiguity August 2014I had kinda figured. I just figured something is better than nothing.Just wanted to add to this because I do finally have a server log. The dilemma is that it doesn't appear to show much as the cause, or the more likely answer is I don't know how to read it properly. :P
in Crashing 1-2 times a day since b267 Comment by AmbivalentAmbiguity August 2014I also rent from BFS, and like Kush, I'm also getting problems with my server. There have been many crashes as of late and I can say from my own experiences: getting a NS2 server populated is one of the hardest things to do. Not to mention keepin…
