There was no scan log because it was Avast deepscreen instead of a normal scan, but the message that pops up is that the program thinks the actual Subnautica.exe is a virus and the type is "FileRepMalware" and then it deletes the .exe.
I'm using avast, and apparently the issue was that every time I tried to start the game avast would delete the .exe because it thought it was a virus or something... so I just added a million exclusions to avast's scan list and now it works. Thanks …
