Now, Subnautica tries to be scientific, to an extent. Gold, silver, and lead are all different elements. Unless we want to get into magic, I can't see how this fits into the current game.

I have an idea, this open world progression type game has to have an "end" to be sold on some markets. This situation happened years ago when "Minecraft" had its "end" added. Even though it is not required to beat it.
