So, if not short or medium term, why not definitely long term. Also if it requires to redo everything, wouldn't it be smart to do it now, instead of redoing more everything later?
Also, two different games that are the same, just one with mult… -
They listen to people, amazing

Looks like starfox, just with submarines XD
Hardly a simulation. -

I'd rather have something like that and it being saved. It's silly to NOT save it, logically speaking. And it wouldn't help a whole lot in navigation either. If you want to see the terrain just look out the window. -
I want to look around and explore, I don't need the speed that badly, so I went with the capacity tank and swim charge. Though at first I crafted the glide fins.
Infinite energy for the stasis rife, propulsion gun, stasis rifle and flashlight … -
Would make for some story and something 'to do' other than to constantly build more or prettier bases...

It seems that loot containers' contents are random, and I haven't found a single block yet. They're also not craftable.
I find it much more disconcerting that the player doesn't have to go to the … -
Shouldn't changes to the water's content like acidity and such things dissipate over time? I think it would be hard to imagine that with your proposal the world doesn't get taken over by acid mushrooms in a few minutes :P
Also if the player sla… -
I'd like some kind of story progression. It might be optional but it should reward the player in some way if he does so. For example welding the radiation leaks was kinda what I would imagine to be part of such a story.
But in the end it's both… -
@Darvin-Evolution: Wrong place for bug reports. Even wrong thread entirely.
As for your suggestions:
- There are beacons already, they do swim, and … -
Sounds plausible.
Also what's a moon pool?

@TerraBlade:
Helmet mounted displays are a thing even today. You also have a compass and your vital signs on your hud, too. I doubt it'd be too difficult to ju… -

If you want no map, ever, then your vote is correct. If you want a map only after exploring, and building a device to make and/or view it, however expensive that may be and if you need a blu… -
I've got a general question:
Do the devs actually look here and see what people want to see by browsing through the thousands of suggestions, some of them repetitive (Because I wasn't here when the first suggestions came along, and I don't inte… -

(Quote) in a 3d map, 5 meters mean like a 5m radius sphere around the player, right? That's rather small, considering how large the map is.
What exactly is a "Thing"? Do you mean fish, scrap metal, quartz and things like that?
If yo… -
Another idea would be that you do not have a map, but rather a coordinate system that shows the player's relative position to a fixed point (like the aurora) and perhaps bases, beacons and vehicles.
The player then can use this blank coordinate… -
you could build a base that connects the aurora and the floating island xd

I just build a few small minibases about some interesting points. (geysers, deep sea trenches, gigantic mushroom thing)
Most of them just a foundation, corridor, power gen, window, hatch and fabricator. Mainly serves as a small location to get … -
I agree there should be something on the island(s). Probably mostly amphibious and small animals. (Like the crabs on the aurora.)
As to how to combat them, I'd say... stasis rifle + knife in Ideas for creatures on these islands and weapons to combat them. Comment by Falco June 2015 -
I don't want a cargo freighter, an aircraft carrier or just another sub that looks like a boat. All I'm asking for is a simple speedboat, about the size of an average car, with maybe 1 or 2 lockers to get to places. No one needs 80 lockers, or stupi…

I think it'd be a nice idea to build something like an elevator. Currently ladders are very unpleasant to use over multiple floors and take up lots and lots of resources. I'd imagine a simple steel cord, anchored in the ocean floor and having a larg…

It's easy to get lost in the vast ocean. Surely there are landmarks, and there are beacons. But I think it would be a nice addition to map out the area properly, using sophisticated tools to aid in navigation and for general scientific research of t…

silver is also available in the forest. it's definitely doable, i had no problem with it really

Awesome
I still like a 3d view to rotate objects and view all details, and add notes by yourself.
So what about the … -
I think the game generally needs more land. Sure, the ocean is the main theme of the game, and certainly the player should be forced to go under and explore and gather most materials there. The land should be a bonus, not necessary but a nice additi…

(Quote) Well, I'd agree but only if the harpoons can be reused. You'd still need to pick them up, of course. Also the harpoon gun should probably use mechanical power, instead of electrical, but I suppose future people are lazy.

Having large amounts of fish/seaweed rot, to make bio gas and burn that is an option too. Also power cells, but they run on hydrogen, which is produced by splitting water into hydrogen and oxygen. Which is silly and inefficient... Except for when y…

I suggest if you ever do such a thing that it doesn't allow living things to warp. It would make it easier to transfer a lot of resources from one place to another at the cost of lots of energy, but doesn't take away the time to travel to the other …

What is this? We build colony spaceships and stasis rifles, but we're unable to build something as simple as a crossbow or even a spear? Agreed, it would be severely game breaking if one could make a long range weapon right at the beginning of the g…
