Question... it appears that the Desert planet is rotating at a far faster speed than ours (unless it's rotating in the oppositite direction) and orbiting our planet far faster than our own (again unless it's orbiting opposite). Yet the Moon does not…

Yeah, I'm having the same issue.

I imagine there will be other places they may put it and/or other scary creatures in other zones.

So did I, Quartz has not been something I have had an issue with... Copper on the otherhand... damn RNG -
Honestly I am loving the Swim Charges. I don't bother with the Sea Glide because it's too large to carry around all the time. The Swim Charge fins work great for me as it means less Copper for me to use on batteries vs. Power Cells for my Cyclops.

There's been Trello Cards talking about Fish Emotion & Interaction to be worked on. Basically fleshing out how the creatures interact in the world and possibly addressing the issue you are talking about.

It's an interesting idea and harkens back to The Abyss movie.

Damn that is impressive...

Just to voice what I mentioned in HipChat.
I think if you cut everything forward of the two loading arms and moved the repair bots next to the docking tube it'd be a more efficient… -
It seems while Subnautica is more "Survival" based in its gameplay, Iron Fish will be more "Exploration" based in that it will not have resource management/item construction like Subnautica does. It seems like it will also have a more linear storyli…

Not sure how you implement that correctly, since currently the map is actually a giant block; you'd have to teleport the player to the other side at some point.

Inactive lava zone is about 600~1200m depending where you are in the map, active lava zone I think starts around 1500m? I forget the exact depths off the top of my head.

You know what, that never occurred to me, I don't recall the Seamoth taking that much power before though... -

I'm not entirely worried about the map size at the moment and/or the Biomes. The current "World Block" is a little over 3km deep, of which there are 3 large subterranean caves; two of which are plenty large enough for the Cyclops t… -
Honestly I end up just carrying the following at all times:
-Knife
-Flashlight
-Welder (the Cyclops and Seamoth get banged up easy, so why not?)

You can find them on the floating island to the SW of the Lifepod on the land (as well as beached Spadefish???)

Well the reality is that the developers probably didn't create an equivalent system to "electroreception" that seems to be used by many real world aquatic life creatures. Which I suppose would outright negate any cloaking device...
-
Not a bad idea, if/when they create a more "Abyssal" style zone it would be interesting to implement this concept since between thermal vents in the real world there's not a lot of life besides whale falls.

Honestly, in this day and age 32bit systems should really just be pushed to the wayside completely; even consoles are running 64bit systems...

It's mostly a thing about how in most SciFi games/anime/movies ect. water is shown to have disruptive effects on cloaking. I believe a lot of the general reasons is that the cameras/reflective coating/ect. used in fictional cloakin… -
But how do you compensate for the diffraction and diffusion issues inherent in using a cloaking device underwater!? :O The madness!

I understand what you mean, but... a "Shark Stick" also known as a "Bang Stick" is not a non-lethal weapon... It's essentially a shotgun shell on a stick... lol

Some more "Blending" might be beneficial, but for the most part if you look at the real world reefs and such there are very distinct biomes as well.
You won't typically see many reef borne species leaving reefs much or delving deeper. Mo… -
I believe there's actually some sort of Prop Cannon in the plans that will work similar to Christian's artwork (well at least it will launch peepers I know that much.)
But really the developers have stressed that lethal weapons aren't th…
