I have the exact same problem. I'm using 1280x720 and I can't even click on "Apply" at all. It only opens Steam browser. If it was only possible to disable the news feed thing...

I love 18/20 player servers. They feel perfect for this type of game/maps. Even 24 player feel too chaotic and unorganized for me. Can't imagine 16vs16.

Input lag is finally gone for me, at all resolutions. Biodome feels smoother.
Still get those stutters where it looks like the game is almost hanging, yet my FPS counter shows 30-45fps. Happens in big fights, especially those in Marine b… -
Veil is the best. I've seen Marines lose that map because they keep focusing on the sole Gorge in Skylights vents. Instead of just 2 marines getting into the vent and kill the Gorge, they spend the first 10 minutes trying to shoot the Gorge from out…

If you read some responses after the patch you will know a lot of people still have issues regarding input lag and micro-freezes/stutters. None of these I had before these patches (the update before reinforced introduced it).
If you have… -
Although disabling aero for NS2.exe removed the input lag almost entirely, today I tried to play the game on my native res (1920x1080 which ran fine before, but prefer 1280x800 for the extra fps) and the input lag was INSANE. It feels like a 100ms d…

Can you imagine playing as a Lerk with a gamepad? Damn. The sensitivity would have to be insanely high, but then you will lose all precision as well.
Gorge & Onos would be do-able. :P -
I don't think that randomness of sound will suit this game.

This fixed it for me, even in DX9 mode

Played for an hour now. Mouse input lag makes it unplayable for me (by the looks of it, it's only affecting the minority). Could only play as Onos.
Will return to the game once a patch is out. -
This reminds me of Red Orchestra 2/Rising Storm. Your soldier randomly shouts or talks giving away your position while you are going all sneaky peeky likePlayed almost exclusively with alien vision. Not just because I can see marines better, but it's hard to spot things @ 1280x800 on a 22" screen. Too much FPS drops otherwise. The new AV will definitely affect how I play Aliens now. After 370 hours I still have to use the map to know where all the vents are, other than that I know the layouts to all the maps except Descent and the latest Docking. In games such as Counter-Strike you know every detail of a map in just a few hours…On my 1GB card with textures on High and everything else on low/off I max the VRAM out. On Low it's around ~660MB 15 minutes into the game. This is @ 1920x1080.
Not really related but thanks to the devs for continuing to optimize the gam…
