Actually, my idea was about random events, not a randomized map. I prefer the hand crafted approach the developers are taking, makes everything feel much more natural, something which I'm sure will be even more trune going foward in the developement.

Isn't glass made from sand? There's sand everywhere, why should we use quartz at all?
Simply make sand collectable and 1 "sand" = 1 glass at the fabricator and that's it.
