I like the idea, would be cool to have a moon pool to park the seamoth in. Maybe it you could swim in and out for this hanger too.

I would like to see variable hunger (Quote)
Thats a solid suggestion. I'd love to see this implemented too.The decreased hunger rate while using a vehicle would be offset by the battery power consumed to move around, or using the construct… -
Right on, thanks for the support.
Silveressa, Im pretty exited too about the paper doll inventory overhaul, the way flippers work now has always bugged me too. They're on my feet but they're stored in my backpack, where they would be ent… -
You need to enable it 1st. Press f3 and unselect disable console from the top of the drop down menu on the left. You'll need to do this every time you load a game.

You always have a lot of great ideas. Using new technology to make food and water easier inside sea bases could make survival a lot less tedious. You may have already had this in mind, but I don't think there should be any free lun… -
Never had this problem myself, but the visual effect for running out of air could darken on the edge of the screen and move to black out the center of your field of view.Rough branching lines could form at the edge of the screen to look like constri…

Sounds like a solid list of new features to consider. Wish i could have made it for the testing session. Sadly i'm a 9 to 5 working stiff. Maybe you could hold one session on a Saturday and just take a day off on Monday instead?

What if there was an advanced chip for the dive computer that allowed a user to set how often they received air warnings? Maybe you could choose between a voice warning or some type of chime. Seems like that'd solve everyone's issues with the air sy…

I'm all for immersive realism in games but gameplay should always come first. I think one of the marks of a great game developer is the ability to differentiate the two. First and foremost this is a game. It should be fun and intuitive.

I'm pretty sure the lack of saving in hardcore mode just a bug in. That would be pretty unreasonable to design hardcore mode to be played in one marathon session. I'd bet it'll be fixed in the next patch.
While you wait you can call it I… -
It looks like i'm guilty on 2 counts of bad science. I ran the test again. It took 21 minutes for my food to run out. I had 37% water remaining at that point. That seems to match up with the game settings you posted. Must have misclicked on a water …

I was almost certain the water ticked down about half as quickly as the food. I filled both bars at the same time. when the food bar ran out the water bar was at 47%. I made a point not to drink anything until the bar ran out unti… -
Know of any way to lower the rates for the time being in the config files? I tried digging around but wasn't able to find anything there

Yeah it's kinda funny isn't it. But the short dive times are there for game play reasons. I like how tense it can get trying to swim out a cave with low air.

That'd be a nice touch. would nice to get some more light around the Cyclops too.

On the design docs, i think i read that seabases with be needed to construct drilling machines used to harvest material at extreme depths. Most likely there will be some equipment and machines too large to put in the cyclops. But for the moment i am…

Well that's how the setups i'm familiar with work. If there was a contractible rubber bladder inside the air tank or something maybe it could be used to maintain a uniform pressure. But who knows how the tanks would work in Subnautica, its just a vi…

Don't mean to burst your bubble, but an air tank does get noticeably harded to breath from when it is near empty. A diver breaths from a compressed cylinder of air. When a tank is full the air practically fills your lungs for you, … -
That'd be super handy. Plus it'd be great to be able to eat while in side of it... as long as you don't mind getting fish juice on the control sticks!

I actually liked the original audio ques. The breathing sounds got louder and more labored as the O2 in the tank decreased.
Super immersive, this is actually what happens on a low tank of air while SCUBA diving IRL. Running out of air was like… -
Thanks for the advice guys.
I started an new game, looks like the the fragment analyzer doesnt spawn in the lifepod on save games made before the March 15 update. Would have been a little inconvenient not to have that. -
Except caves :P
Though, I would like to see some glowing cave critters! -
I call my majestic vessel the SS Sea Cucumber

That guy may have had a point, IRL red light shouldn't be visible below 100m without using a flash light. At the depth of those thermal vents its nearly pitch black even during the day.

There's some truly bizarre life living around these deep sea volcanic vents here on earth.

Very cool. Thanks for getting the update released for the weekend. I'm looking forward to building an unreasonably deep sea base.

Honestly I would just like dedicated equipment slots. It drives me crazy that flippers take up an inventory slot in the current build. They're not in my inventory! They're on my feet!
Gotta love that wacky game logic. -
It could be cool if kelp or deep sea grass could be grown in glass tanks. The O2 it produces could be pumped out of the tanks and exchanged with the sea base air. Enough of these could supply an entire base without the need to pump from the surface.…

I'd like to make an addition if i may.
