  • My condolences for users running a 32-bit system. But 64-bit is standard hardware for anything but a net book or a rig built in 2000. Best to focus design efforts on a modern platform. I welcome the expanded memory capacity and stability. It sounds …
  • I like the thought and potential game play aspects of large chunks of floating debris could be cool but it seems to me that any good sources of titanium would sink to the seabed. But who knows, maybe the hull of spacecraft are loaded with foam and o…
  • Very cool. This looks to be a content rich update. Keep up the great work guys. I can't wait to try it out!

Based on some of the comments from a few members on the dev team, I understand that larger rooms for bases are planned. Would lov…
  • Seabottom, I don't oppose the idea of using a mouse to provide constant pitch and yaw as you suggest. Would be good to have an option to use this mode, because it seems like a sort of novel control scheme, it may turn some folks off.

    I w…
  • I like the idea of needing to defend the Cyclops or seamoth from enormous creature.

Something to add. Some deep sea creatures on earth use biolunenesant lights to startle predators. Perhaps lights could be placed on the outside of the Cy…
  • I agree, a control pad, or more specifically, full joystick configuration compatibility would solve the majority of these issues. Would definitely like to see this option to controlling vehicles in conjunction with the mouse and keyboard.

  • Check out the trello page for content updates. It looks like there is going to be a radiation suit allowing you to get close and enter the ship to find new technology to loot in the next update. There's some interesting concept art and a botanical a…
  • Seems like there still may be some balancing in the works with the cyclops. At the moment the power is restored after every game reload. I would imagine they will sort this out when they figure out the refueling and consumption rate for the beast. W…
  • Oh i think you might be on to something, I reconsider my previous complaint. Maybe the creature could act like a barrier at the edge of the map. If a player were to venture too far outside of the map area above the limitless abyss, the creature coul…
  • Oh ok. like Cthulhu?

  • I'm not really sure if you would intend for this creature to be sort of an end game boss, but it seems like it would be little out of place and really frustrating for some players.

I think he means we already have floaters. Floats would be a little redundant at this stage of development.
  • Good find Xerxys, looks like the devs don't really know what the analyzer will be used for yet. I think you've got an interesting idea about requiring the machine to identify materials before they can be used in crafting. I think that could feel a l…
  • Hey guys lets just calm down a bit. It's just a game after all.

We should all be able to agree that girls that play real video games are awesome. If playing as a female character would make some people feel more comfortable I don't see w…
  • I actually think the Cyclops is really useful in its current state, at least while playing survival mode. I use it like a moving harvesting station. Even though the world map is not very large yet, it can still take a while to cross the map.
  • Floaters do seem a bit goofy, but it does look like the devs are interested in large floats. The trello board mentions they are planning to work on a large floater for the next update. Would fill the role of salvaging a sunken Cyclops, or maybe floa…
  • I heard somewhere that the world is supposed to be a hand designed area 4km across. Supposedly the deepest point will the 2km below the surface, with islands floating on the surface and submerged through out the water column. Seems pretty big to me…

Would be cool to see something like that. That is one surly looking scuba diver. A deep dive suit would be cool but i think the exosuit may be intended to serve this role. Seems like its going to be used for deep sea mining and res…
  • Cool idea. Sounds like they would be kind of a pest. Would act sort of like the starfish that are infesting parts of the Great Barrier Reef. Could be interesting if there were ways to set out things to act like scare crows to protect areas of the re…
  • I was wondering that too actually. I haven't figured out a good way to get a sea base tube under the platform to access the cyclops while still allowing the bay doors on its belly room to open and drive out with the seamoth. Maybe it could dock on t…
  • Hey Flan, I think a lot of these ideas are great and I really dig the mood music. This would be great to see as the game reaches the end of the development cycle. Sounds like a lot of the computer and base customization would be pretty asset intensi…
  • I would endorse some of these suggestions. Sounds like you know your stuff.
  • Maybe the whole salt issue could be diminish by adding additional foods required a blend of plant and fish material. If there was a point where you couldn't find salt you could use creepvine and fish to make a ferminted fish and seaweed salad. Acidi…
  • Here's the model everyone's talking about if you can't find it.

  • That's a solid idea of using an exposed platform with docking arms hold a Cyclops in place while docking Tbone. It would be a lot easier to dock on a platform rather than trying to back the thing into a huge hangar. That could work really well with …

It really wouldnt be necessary to fill the bladder with mercury to make the diver sink. Buoyancy is determined by the ratio of weight to the amount of volume displaced by an object. The vest would have to be heavy enough to make th…
  • Thanks for putting in the extra work to restore my posts Ghoul. It sounds like it took a lot of time restore each one individually. I'm glad to hear you're gonna stay with the mod team in Help! Been Banned By Mistake! Comment by Jackalope March 2015
  • Thanks for restoring my account! Its a bummer that my old posts have
vanished into the void, but not something to resign over. Maybe just remind the other mods to use a different tool when banning spammers. No hard feelings
