Any idea on a ballpark? We talking days or weeks? Don't mind either way but I'm waiting on the update before trying to play again as I'd rather not go experimental (don't have a huge amount of time to play)

Had a look at experimental mode, but the wiki says this:
"New updates are made available almost every weekday. Saved games might not properly carry over from one patch to another so it is recommended to start a new game with each update.… -
Has this been acknowledged anywhere? Game is literally unplayable in VR until it's fixed.

Just chipping in to say I'm having this issue too. Oculus Rift, using the Steam version of the game. Can post specs if required, but appears to be affecting everyone playing in VR.

Yeah it's an amazing game, can't remember the last time I just enjoyed "existing" in a game world so much. It's a very surreal feeling exploring the sea.

Do you have the game installed on your internal HDD or an external one? I've seen some people say that performance is improved a bit by moving the installation to the internal HDD.

I agree with Chesh. The way I see it is that if the Xbox didn't have the preview program, we would probably never ever see a release of some pretty special indie titles. At the end of the day, we know they aren't giving us the game out of pure love …

Yeah, I really hope they can optimise the game to run on the Xbox. It's a tough job for them as the Xbox one definitely meets the minimum requirements, but console players wouldn't generally accept the "low" settings for the game.

Xbox one is a custom build at the moment so is a bit of a mixture of old and new. Next update will bring both PC and xbox versions inline with eachother.
