These effects are probably related to the temperature feature that will be coming. I'm sure they'll be less annoying when they signal your imminent death (and we have more ways to keep ourselves warm).

Sorry, I should have been way more clear: I don't mean to say that the work that goes into this is trivial, just that most of these are modifications to existing features and none should require a major overhaul of anything (except the AI, probably)…I've been playing a new save file and haven't had any problems -- until the second time I deployed my Spy Pengling. My character model is fine, but the Pengling's is stretched, although in this case it seems to along its local axis instead of a glob…I mentioned this is another bug report, but it definitely deserves its own thread.
