frankly, just making it NS 2.1 or 2.2 (depending on if you count gorgeous as a minor revision) might be nicest. It isn't flashy, but it is instantly understandable.

The last big content update took its name from a play off the gorge. Seems like the next name should have a little bit of a marine/industrial theme?
My suggest is something like Sledge Hammer, or something else that sounds weighty(Quote)

You say marine positioning 'can be intuited by thinking logically' ... the process of thinking logically has change…(Quote)
Sorry, swing and a miss.
I mean not all mechanics need to be intuitive... they don't need to be communicated either. I *meant* what I said.
Think of it this way: Not all the subtleties and complexities of a …(Quote)
I just wanted to throw this out there.
Not everything needs to be intuitive to all players from the moment they start playing the game. To me this is the definition of shallow game play.

female marine was literally the first piece of ns2 concept art ever released.
Could it be possible, that for personal reasons, the NS2 leadership wanted to have equal gender representation in their games? So that female…I am pretty excited to hear the female version of

Umm, having the opinion "that females should look female"... is sexist and shouldn't be tolerated.

PS: Winning by concede is still winning. Don't be a poor sport, and throw a fit because you didn't get to gloat by grinding them into the dirt wasting the time of the losing team.

I have no recollection of the devs ever saying anything about custom 1st person models for black armor players. Do you have a link to where that was said?
Is there any chance we can get a tee shirt with just the TSF logo on the front or the back. I've loved the TSF (used to be TSA) logo from the first day I started playing ns. in NS2 Store Open - Shirts and (soon) Plushies Comment by Katana- April 2013(Quote)
In almost every competitive game which involves limited resources directly effect a players chance of winning, it is common place for players to concede when they get too far behind.
Here are some examples:

I think you don't understand how jump jukeing works. It does have a down side. When you make your jump, you commit to a particular trajectory.

You can get meds and ammo from the commander, anywhere on the map, and during combat.
Medpacks are the most under utilized part of marine play in pub games.

please compare the effectiveness of tier 0 and tier 2 upgrades more, it is obviously a very useful comparison.(Quote)
maybe for skulks, but silence is probably one of the worst upgrades for, gorges, fades and onos... and only marginally useful for lerks.
I thought the rail gun did large amounts of 'light' type damage. Basically that means it is a counter to lower life forms, but does poorly against onos.
I also read somewhere that it takes 3 fully charged rail gun shots to kill a fade.(Quote)
you must not be big on democracy... or consensus.
Or getting anything done.
Or anything... except arguing.A second good idea might be to organize a weekend event, where we get players together to play some low stress scrims.
You would get a bunch of vets together, and a bunch of people who want to try out comp play. The teams would each have…Sometimes further elaboration isn't required. Some times a post covers the topic completely. In that case wouldn't it be better to just 'agree' with the post rather than write your own copy of the post, or a cheesey "what this guy said is brilliant"…I think people are over reacting.
I don't think the agree/disagree system isn't really a moderation tool. I've seen 3-4 buried posts since it was introduced. Every buried post I've seen, has been totally justified, as a post which didn't…I still think NA should agree on a couple nights a week to try and be more active. Like tuesday thursday nights are NA scrim night.
I think the lack of activity, combine with the lack of players and new teams is sort of a chicken/egg pro…In the NS1 days, NA teams starting making 'farm teams.' Several teams gathered up a bunch of pub stars, or lower commitment competitive players, put them on a team and then mentored them through their first season.

Marines with phase gates are 10-100 times faster than aliens. Try this strat on a pub:
1. Get a gate up outside of starting hive... sit there with mines and a few marines.
2. Get a gate up outside building hive.
